This place is THE PLACE for travel geeks. If you click like on ALL the kitesurfing posts on IG or subscribe to ALL the scuba diving youtubers, THIS is your place to hang out in Kenya. It is an absolute sanctuary for the adventure travel enthusiast. ||||I live in South Florida. There are surf and kite surfing schools all around me. But when I arrived at Soul Breeze Beach Resort in January 2022 I knew that I was really at home. I was just astonished at how vibey the place was. They intuitively know how to host to the kiting community in general. ||||A super special touch is the FOOD. The chef is an absolute god-send. The place is just amazing! I can't say enough about how happy I am at how management pulled everything together to offer such a super experience. ||||There are a few things I have to say though to make this review complete. I love soccer. I love the beach. I love Brazil. I love kiting. THIS PLACE HAS ALL THAT VIBE. ||||After a day flying on the beach, scraping up my knees on hard landings on the harder-than-home beaches, I was happy to dine in a tree house table where Joseph delivered to us amazing local fare. The food and drinks took us to another place! It was so fun, so delicious. ||||Below me was a group of guys playing soccer on the beach at sunset. If i wasn't so tired, (and if my gf was otherwise entertained) I would surely have went down to kick ball with the locals. They were having so much fun. (That's an adventure for another day.)||||There was every kind of amenity a guy could want at this place. Table soccer, pool, volleyball, it was like a FIFA FAN ZONE! It was just amazing. I could have stayed for weeks and kinda wish that I did. ||||Enjoy! Don't be intimidated by the monkeys or other interesting wildlife that you're bound to run into. Rough it, while not exactly roughing it, at this made-for-adventure niche...
Read moreJust to get started, as soon as I booked here, the concierge of the Bidi Badu wrote me asking me if I was going to need a taxi from the airport or sgr station, that they can arrange it so it will wait for me. Perfect!||I've stayed in one of the boungaloes. Every centimeter in the hotel was super clean and it was in harmony with the nature of the place. The beds are very comfortable, all well arranged, had two vents, adaptors for the plugs, beautiful style in context, bathroom worked perfect (no need to hot water there, believe me). The people who works there are the most kindful people I've saw in Kenya until now, and I've been in many places.||The breakfast is full full, the eggs in the shape you want, fruit salad, coffee, natural juice, etc. You can by drinks or meals at the beach bar at all time and the prices are very fair. The tables are in a private part of the beach, so you walk two meters and you are in the beach itself almost private, and ripping of the Beach Boys, you'll be almost alone in that beautiful beach, with no rocks or nothing that could you bother there.||I've couldn't really find something wrong about this place though if I'd try. They got two swimming pools just if you don't like that wonderful ocean.||Defrnitivily I recommend this place, and the overall prices are very convenient comparing to the next hotels in the zone.. But to be clear, if they'd cost the same, I'll still be booking in Bidi Badu.||They also have pool table, tennis and beach volley fields. And dogs, cats and...
Read moreI think when people are on holiday, they want to get away from stress, create another reality/adventure, and oftentimes, having television in your room could defeat the purpose of switching off from the world out there. Who wants to be hearing the news when they are on holiday? Not me. So, it made sense that my room had no television. I am pleased to just connect to the WiFi and watch something, if I must, otherwise I can assure you that you would get exhausted with a lot of things to do and see whilst here, to the extent that television could amount to terror-vision. Kudos to them! Lovely beachfront view! There are Islands and sandbanks that form in the middle of the sea, i.e. the Indian Ocean, you can hitch a camel ride, go on a horse ride, see various marine life, sometimes close-up. The people are welcoming and friendly. Even if you drop your phone on the beachfront, someone would bring it to you...service is nice, come prepared Tom"appreciate" people and nature. I recommend them to anyone who like beachfront adventure! We even sang in karaoke on Tuesdays and had bands play on various days, including yesterday...if I keep writing a review today about Soul breeze I might miss my flight..oh and there's beach volleyball, beach football, an outdoor beach gymnasium, There's also a swimming pool and you can't learn scuba diving if you wish. There's also wind surfing, boat-rides scooter rides, excursions, and...
