I originally came here recommended from my airbnb, saying they offered free sun beds to customers. The first night it was fine, I bought lunch, snacks and drinks throughout the day and sat on a sunbed without problem. I spent over 2000 KSH. The next day, it was completely empty in the morning. I sat at a sunbed again and ordered a drink, only after the drink was served did the manager come to tell me the sunbeds were for hotel guests only and that I had to pay a fee of 1000KSH to sit in it. Again, this is while the club was completely empty and I had already ordered my drink. I left it behind and paid my tab and left. I will not be coming back. The food is mediocre at best, prices are high, and the management is greedy. At the neighboring resort, Lantana, you can pay 1500 KSH for a day pass and have access to their sunbeds and pool and they will give you a 1500 KSH credit for their restaurant. The food is far better and prices are very very reasonable, even cheaper than soul breeze. If you are looking to spend even less, coconut bar and restaurant also next door will let you sit in their sunbeds (with a much better view!) for free with food or drinks purchase. It’s a shame that Soul Breeze has made such a poor business choice. It is overpriced and the service is poor compared to much better...
Read moreThe resort was very nice. The rooms looked really nice superficially but didn't seem very clean. No refrigerator or air-conditioning, which I need at this age. A shared refrigerator was a little dicey. The cieling fan was not powerful and had to borrow a small broken fan from the front office sonthat i could sleep. The shower didn't seem clean and no option for hot water, as we visited in the cooler season and the water was very cold out of the pipe.
Activities and 2 pools are available. And the food from the restaurant was delicious. Having rhe option of bringing and cooking your own food in a shared kitchen is a plus. The locals who worked there were very nice and always greeted with a smile and viewing the local monkeys. The beach is beautiful and my sons were quickly able to pickup a game of football. While meeting and having fun while bargaining with locals who sold jewelry and coconuts. I would visit again. Its great for a...
Read moreAmazingly friendly staff, unfortunately not a great place to hang out due to the loud music. Atmosphere feels mostly like a hookup club, even though we really appreciate the cultural diversity with tourists and locals hanging out. Also, some more sand beds and (clean) hammocks in the shade would be nice instead of a DJ booth blocking the view of the ocean. Seasonal decorations was made from plastics and hence putting additional garbage to the beach. We liked the food. We also appreciate the effort they make to keep the beach clean, but they should make additional efforts to not produce waste in first instance (e.g. don't use plastic straws, use reusable glasses instead of plastic cups, take care of waste being disposed properly / clean their own sand like cigarette buds and bottle lids). Terrace with the best...
