I was a regular but I've moved! The employees there are so screwed up....
Worst experience ever! All staff there has become so rude, and it's now insecure, getting stolen from in there....and there's no sitting place! It's like going to a back street joint, only with the worst customer service. Unless you are just starting up the night, don't even think of going there. At lease earlier in the evening you might be very lucky and get some good service.
Maybe due to the crowd, the waiters, security and all staff there have grown to be rude. Was a nice joint initially, especially when shots were Ksh 50. Actually right now...shots place is the only thing keeping the place going.
Totally hate the experience now! The place will follow suit to Club Sound and Ibiza....I'm so sure they'll be closing soon, but maybe leave the shots place only.
Resolution: I would just recommend Mojos or Tribeka if raving in CBD. The two places next to each other actually have a better fancier crowd, better music mix and they are definitely not back-street clubs.

For old timers you can get heart attack and die in here. Am sure the sound are way more than the legal recommended limit. The setting is ok, the crowd was also ok. The only issue once in a while you will be forced to buy 2 beer drinks to enter. Given that I don't partake alcohol I found this policy being very distasteful and can clearly categorise this as extortion. Apart from this 👆the security is ok. Have never experienced any incidences while there. FYI there is a church in the basement and upstairs if my memory serves me right so for those early birds nursing hangovers on Sundays make a point of waiting for the pastor down there to redeem you of your miseries. ...

It has a vibrant, energetic feel. When I got in, there was a DJ mixing 90s & 2000s hits, so the moment you enter you sense that it’s a place for fun, people chatting, dancing, and generally having a good time.
The crowd was mixed but trendy — people there to chill as well as party. Some groups just hanging out, others more into the music. Scratch Bar is a great choice if you want a fun, lively night out in Nairobi CBD. Good music, reasonable prices, lots of energy. If you go expecting luxury or super speedy service, maybe adjust expectations a bit. Go with friends, arrive earlier in the evening to avoid peak delays, and...
