Terrible service. Avoid. My experience at the Kilimanjaro Jamia Banda street was much better. At Kimathi street, the balcony is nice, they have plenty of space, so you are likely to get a seat. But for some reason, they told me my choice of dish was wrong and suggested another. The suggested dish was terrible, stale, under cooked and I had to return it. I ordered another dish which was again met with their disapproval but I insisted. I got half the dish. I have had the same dish before in that restaurant, so I knew what was missing. They were already so rude, I didn't ask for it. I ordered a takeaway and when I got home, discovered that they gave me a wrong dish.

terrrrrible, nothing i ordered was available, food or drinks , even a simple drink made with apple lemon and ginger was finished. i ended up with steak and some green mashed potatoes . The steak was chewy and couldn't even be cut with a knife or chewed, i had to swallow the steak pieces whole , mashed potatoes were just bad , i couldn't believe i was in the restaurant with good reviews. and you know what, i didn't leave a single shiling as a tip, and i was completely satisfied doing so.

A super fun and cozy local restaurant with a great vibe! The staff are really friendly and happily recommend their special dishes. We ordered a mixed platter with different items, and honestly, every single one was delicious. The prices are very reasonable, and I’d definitely recommend it. If you’re not sure what to order, just ask them for suggestions. Their fresh juices are also amazing and a perfect addition to the meal. Alcohol doesn’t served.

Kilimanjaro Jamia Restaurant, Kimathi Street

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kilimanjaro Jamia Restaurant, located on Kimathi Street, and I must say it was an incredible experience. As an expert in the field, I am always on the lookout for restaurants that offer authentic and delicious cuisine, and Kilimanjaro Jamia did not disappoint. First and foremost, the restaurant's ambiance was warm and inviting. The interior had a modern yet cozy feel, with comfortable seating arrangements and tasteful decor that reflected the vibrant culture of East Africa. The restaurant was clean, well-maintained, and had a pleasant atmosphere. Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food. Kilimanjaro Jamia specializes in East African cuisine, and their menu offers a wide variety of dishes that showcase the rich flavors and traditional cooking techniques of the region. From the moment I took my first bite, I could tell that the chefs at Kilimanjaro Jamia had a deep understanding of the cuisine they were preparing. One of the standout dishes I tried was the Nyama Choma, which is grilled meat marinated in a blend of herbs and spices. The meat was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. The restaurant not only accommodates Muslims but is also welcoming to all people from all walks of life. Their barbeque platter, biryani, pilau and butter chicken are among the best dishes on the menu. One of the things that stood out the most was their platter for three, which is a delicious twist on the Kenyan and Arab delicacies like Naan, Biriyani, Pilau, Chicken, arosto, or sizzling beef. The menu also featured other East African favorites such as Pilau, Biryanis, and various vegetarian options. Each dish I tried was expertly prepared, and the quality of ingredients was evident. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that I left the restaurant feeling fully satisfied. The service at Kilimanjaro Jamia was also commendable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to provide recommendations and accommodate any dietary preferences or restrictions. In terms of pricing, Kilimanjaro Jamia offers good value for the quality of food and dining experience they provide. The prices were reasonable, considering the portion sizes and the overall quality of the ingredients used. If I were to point out any areas for improvement, it would be the waiting time for the food to arrive. Although it was not excessive, a slightly faster service would further enhance the...

I highly recommend Kilimanjaro Jamia, located on Kimathi Street, Nairobi. This establishment offers exceptional service with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction. The staff is not only friendly but also incredibly helpful, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and well taken care of from the moment they step in.

The food and drinks at Kilimanjaro Jamia are top-notch, offering a wide variety of delicious dishes that cater to different tastes. First time at Kilimanjaro. And, I was wowed! The dining space is quite huge with seating options either inside the main restaurant as well as outside overlooking Kimathi Street. The ambience is so warm and cosy. I think the best time to appreciate this place is very early in the morning before the crazy busy lunch-rush. The menu was truly overwhelming for a hungry, first-timer such as myself. Because, everything on the menu looked good! My waiter, Joel, was super helpful in this aspect and suggested i try the liver ("Maini") with chapati. It came in sauteed strips with a side of potato-based gravy. I didn't regret this choice at all. In fact, my tummy was doing a vigorous dance of delight from all the deliciousness. I also had their Caffe Mocha which was just amazing - hot and perfectly balanced in terms of the coffee and chocolate and milk. All this set me back a mere Kshs.530/- (about $5). Meanwhile, the supervisor was on hand to ensure that everything ran smoothly and that I enjoyed myself. I loved the attention to detail...even their toothpicks are branded!!! I Definitely recommend this place. If there were more than 5 stars to give, I would glady give them to...
