Khoja Mosque is an iconic three-storey stone building whose actual name is Nairobi Town Jamatkhana, meaning prayer house or mosque. Built by the Ismaili community (Aga Khan led), the foundation stone of this mosque was laid in January 1920 and two years later in 1922 its construction was completed. Beautiful old mosque located in the heart of the cbd of Nairobi. It is such an.architectural.masterpiece. built beacon to beacon it occupies the whole plot of land. Nothing is left unused. It is an airy space. Wonderfully but. A pale of worship. A haven from the hustle and bustle of the city outside. For some marvelous reason.It does not let in the loud sounds of the city's traffic...

One has to be vigilant because there used to be groups of criminals stealing from car window. Now a days hawkers run battles with city Council Askari's on lower side of the road-also almost extinct but keep an eye. There are police though on patrol since its near Central police station. Cheap stuff though ... Like...
