Laguna Hotel Suites — Hotel in Salmiya

We booked a "suite" online which stated it had a separate seating area, spacious enough for three adults. When we arrived at the hotel, what we got was a room with a double bed and a sofa & coffee table in front of it. Needless to say that is by no standards a suite! After a lot of complaining, we were moved to a family suite which consisted of two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a small living room at an additional cost. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the location of the hotel is central within walking distance of Marina Mall. There's a free breakfast in the lobby but it's basic at best. This hotel is nice from the following points||Location near souq and restaurents and all easy enterances and exits||They have very small loby with very few number of staff ||Staff were friendly but they have not given us our booked room as they mentioned there is a problem in the room and they have exchanged it with another room and the second day shifted to the booked room||Rooms are very small and not as mentioned in booking website||Their service is average||Their breakfast menu can be considered as poor ||Their value of money is not reflecting...

I was considering this place for a longer stay, they have apartments. I went for a tour, it was a disaster. I wouldn't pay 100 KD for that, let alone the huge price they ask for. Furniture is old, the apartments are smelly (you can tell people cooked there), appliances are old, the rooms make no sense, it's like someone compartmentalized an impossible space.
