Tagaytay-Karakol Hotel — Hotel in Karakol City

I do not enjoy my stay here. This hotel is overrated. The owner is very hospitable. Located 1 km outside of city center. You have to walk some distance to the city center and bus station. The room is enough space but outdated. The bed was uncomfortable for me. And the bathroom is very small. The soundproofing is not great. I can hear my neighbor snoring. The room is cold at night, I had to ask for extra blanket. There is a refrigerator, but the owner turned it off to save money. Why?? If you want to attract tourists, get your equipment set up. The front desk speak some English, but don’t expect they will give you any travel advice. The hotel breakfast was poor. A lot of sweet selections, but little real food to eat, and the presentation was very poor. The laundry service was overpriced. They wanted to charge $0.85 per piece, the front desk asked if I want to use their taxi, no. I feel they wanted to overcharge foreign tourists. I would not...

Our room was very, very clean. Really the whole place was. There is a large common area with a fireplace, though we didn't use it. We rented the sauna downstairs for 1100/hr, it includes a large shower/bath area. The owner speaks a bit of english, and was very accommodating. The breakfast was simple but could have fed 20 people even though we were the only ones staying there. My wife and I stayed for a night before moving up to Kapriz.
