The hotel itself is charming and the location is great. That`s probably all it has. Possibly it would be enough but it gets destroyed by attitude and extra charges. I am not sure if the staff in there actually know the meaning of the "customer service". Anything you ask the answer is not accurate and very laid back. They are called SPA hotel BUT NO SOAP and towels in spa area. We have paid extra almost 100 euro on top of over 250 euro stay for one hour of spa. Half of the equipment not working properly, swimming pool had way too strong smell of chlorine. Almost like instead of properly cleaning just throwing extra cleaning liquid. No-one ever mention that dressing gowns and towels are not included considering that you have to go to another building. We had to figure out it ourselves on the bad experience. Now if you are planning to have a dinner and pay over the average price be ready to pay extra 8 euro for the entrance to "nothing-special" restaurant. Yes that's right on top of the money that you have already paid to stay in the hotel. After all this get ready for not well cooked meal and waiting ...and waiting...
Read moreWe are a family from Sweden with two kids, and we’ve been coming to Hotel Pegasa Pils every summer for several years now - and every time it feels like coming home! This hotel truly has everything we need for a relaxing and comfortable holiday.
The rooms are very spacious, which is perfect for a family with children. They’re always sparkling clean and well-equipped with everything we might need - it really makes a difference when traveling with kids! The staff go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and cared for, and we’ve always felt incredibly well looked after.
The location simply couldn’t be better - right in the heart of Jūrmala, just a short walk from the beach, the beautiful park, and great cafes. On top of that, the parking is very affordable and convenient, which is not always easy to find in such a central spot.
We highly recommend Pegasa Pils to anyone visiting Jūrmala. It’s a gem of a hotel with of course a bit 2000 furniture style, but we look forward to returning...
Read moreWe spent the wedding night in this hotel and were completely disappointed by the soundproofing. Our room had a common door with the other room, which was closed, but everything was perfectly heard. The guests there felt free to talk loud and listen to music even after 11 PM, so it was impossible to sleep. After two(!) calls to the reception, finally, we got our rest. According to the receptionist, the hotel was full and it was impossible to give us a different room. And we've had a deluxe room! Breakfast included wasn't very diverse, no options for vegans (I have lactose intolerance). Other than that, everything was ok, but not more. Bed was big and comfortable, there were bathrobes and slippers, air was nice. Should highlight though, that the dinner in the restaurant (not included) was great with various dishes to choose from, and the waitress was really polite and smiley. Unfortunately, I can't award this hotel higher than 2...
