Upstairs, during our visit there were 30 different exhibitions with paintings, sculptures and photographs. Very interesting to learn about the background that created the seaside resort.

The museum is free. You can enjoy the permanent exhibition which is mostly focused on Jūrmala being a popular resort, and a number of temporary exhibitions on both floors. Museum shop offers rather standard stuff like postcards, magnets and books, but there are hidden gems like handmade ceramics, jewelry etc for very affordable price.

The museum, which is free, is in two parts. The ground floor has the history of the area and how it gained popularity, which I really enjoyed. There were lots of old pictures and other historic items. I didn't go to the first floor which contained art but this small but lovely museum, which is not fsr from the train station, caters to different tastes with...
