Lahoya Verdun — Hotel in Moussaitbeh

From when I arrived till when I left I was not treated well by staff. I was told they had not received my booking through Booking.com and was asked to 'whatsapp' pictures of the confirmation emails from Booking.com to staff at reception even though I was showing them the emails on phone directly! They then agreed to give me a room, which did not have facilities listed on booking (e.g. kitchenette) but which I still paid for. The bathroom had a hole in ceiling with leaking liquid... just disgusting. Reception would not hand me back my passport and said they had to keep a form of ID till I left (most places take a copy and return following verification of details). On the day before my checkout I walked past reception and reached my room, only to find out I had been locked out. Returned to reception who explained they needed payment. They had just watched me go by all the way to the 7th floor when they could have just informed me they required upfront payment... They locked me out like a thief! Especially when I had already entered card details when the booking was made and provided ID to reception. Customer service was appalling throughout the stay. I asked reception for a taxi and was told to go find one outside!! The day after check in I returned to my room at 7pm and my room had still not been done, had to request the bare minimum (towels). The Lebanese government is trying to encourage foreign tourist to visit Lebanon, but if this is how they are to be treated, in a so called 4 star hotel... SAVE YOUR MONEY AND...

Stayed for 2 nights. The first night was terrible for some ungodly neighbors in the room above singing, drumming and dancing past 2 am. Called the apologetic front desk man more than once and he repeatedly assured me that he spoke with the drunk idiots upstairs and that they would to be quite. The next evening I demanded a new room after learning that the hooligans were still there. I was moved to a nicer "standard" room on the 7th floor. Why would they give out the less nice rooms first?? All in all, and aside from the idiots, rooms so so, some in need of re-do. 4 star, but...

Staff was asleep during check in and check out. And they had shut and locked us in during the night which may have been a fire hazard The people who work there were very nice and overall it was clean. The rates are lower than booking if you call them.. They had power and hot water constantly and no wifi cut offs. Highly recommend, but yeah odd in off hours. No view, just another building No food but there is a grocery store right up the street and then left that sells...
