Stayed at the lancaster one night right after getting rapatriated to Lebanon, and I ended up very underwhelmed. The room was nice, clean and had a great seaview. The service was good for the most part, except for some of the receptionists that we found quite rude. The problem is with their food: honestly, it is abysmal. We had a simple club sandwich and a margarita pizza for dinner, they looked and tasted like what is served in school cafeterias. The pizza, in particular, tasted like plastic. Since we were to be locked in overnight to wait for the lab results for our PCR tests, the overpriced MEA tickets included a free breakfast at the hotel. We overslept and never therefore never received it. When we asked if we could have lunch instead we were told we'd have to pay for it. Fine, considering we were supposed to leave at 1 we understood and chose to wait. It should be noted that we weren't allowed to get any food from outside the hotel. Don't know why. It is 8pm, and we are still waiting to leave. We complained again at 7pm and someone at the front desk promised they'd bring something up for us. He probably did that to shut us up. We called again 40 minutes later to ask where the food was and obviously, nothing was getting prepared. They finally decided to start making a salad and two club sandwiches. That's it. Considering they call themselves a four or five-star hotel, I found it rich. Locked in for 24 hours and forced to pay for their low quality food, they're treating us...
Read moreMy recent stay at the Lancaster Plaza Hotel in Beirut was nothing short of exceptional. Situated conveniently close to the iconic Rouche Stone, the hotel offers not only a prime location but also impeccable service and cleanliness. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly by the reception staff, who were not only efficient but also went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable. The housekeeping team maintained the rooms flawlessly throughout my visit, and the breakfast at the hotel's restaurant was a delightful experience every morning, with a wide variety of dishes and attentive service. The rooms themselves were spacious and well-appointed, providing a peaceful retreat after a day exploring the vibrant city of Beirut. However, the one drawback during my stay was the internet connection inside the rooms, which could be unreliable at times. One peculiar aspect of the city that I encountered was a nearby garbage container, located a couple of blocks from the hotel. This unfortunately emitted a noticeable odor, which occasionally wafted across the road towards the hotel vicinity. I sincerely hope the city authorities address this issue promptly to enhance the overall experience for visitors. Overall, Lancaster Plaza Hotel Beirut exceeded my expectations with its cleanliness, attentive staff, and fantastic location. Despite the minor issue with internet connectivity and the nearby garbage container, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious...
