King Mindaugas Apartments — Hotel in Kaunas

I stayed almost one month in this apartment.

Positive It's very nicely decorated. The management of the apartment is excellent. Very responsive to any request. The size of the apartment is for 2 persons. 2 + one child could also fit if the sofa is used as a bed. The kitchen is well equipped. It has a washing machine, iron, iron table, clothes line which are very useful if you plan to stay for a long period. Good and fully dedicated internet connection. Price is reasonable

Not so positive The apartments uses a smart lock. This means that a phone number is to be dialed to open the door. This sounds futuristic, but sometimes I had to call the number up to 4 times to get the door open.Very frustrating. The apartment is very close to the river and Akropolis, a big shopping mall in Kaunas, however it's not walking distance from Kaunas center. The apartment is too noise when the windows are open due to the heavy traffic. There is not enough space to store clothes. The closets in the apartment are used by the owner to store pillows, duvets, vacuum cleaner and other stuff. There is a view to the river, but the main view is to a big sports club which is not so nice. Cleaning service was once per week. They were not only cleaning the apartment but also changing the bed linen. This worked out, although one week they just changed the bed linen, and did not clean properly the apartment. I have booked King Mindaugas Apartment at Kaunas city centre, where I've selected to pay at the property. I got charged immediately after booking. Once we arrived, apartment was not suitable to stay - kitchen, ceiling, lamps were covered in spiders and spiderwebs, meaning that the apartment is in a city centre. We counted around 20 big spiders in around 30m2 room… Air inside was tough and there was no possibility to open any windows as they were also covered in spiderwebs. It seems that nobody did ever clean those spiderwebs, because they were very big… It feels like somewhere inside there could be a place where spiders breed, because of its size and that it’s attic type of room… After calling the host, we got told that they couldn’t do anything and they’re not going to return...

This is the first time im renting the apartment to stay in Kaunas. And i have to say i was amazed by these King Mindaugas Apartments, its very modern inside, the apartments are spacious, we stayed in no38 and 28 over 2 weeks, and have no complaints, they were clean on arrival. There is plenty off appliances, to get your stuff washed dried and ironed, also for a kitchen, more than enough utensils and dishes to make your self some food. The very plus is that there is Air Con. Could be better and closer parking, but got used to it. The customer service is very friendly, and any issues sorted asap. Would...
