Grite — Restaurant in Kaunas

I come Kaunas every 2 months only to try their huge potato dumplings. If you go a bit late, of course not many dumplings are left (they are popular ! Last time we arrived 4 pm and there were only 3 left and 4 people shared 3 dumplings. 😔) so I always try to go there before 2 pm. Staffs are kind and they speak English well. I hope their business goes really well and more people visit here but at the same time , I hope that not many people get to know about this place and how tasty their dumplings are so that I can have more XD. Beer is probably not the best but their hand made Kvass and wine(red plum wine) are the best and also cold beat soup!!!! Price is so reasonable and the portion of each food is more than enough. I'm so happy that I found this restaurant....

Horrible kitchen. Please do NOT come here if you like the true Lithuanian. Most of the visitors are the guys from the nearby bus station, attracted by low prices. MENU: Most of the dishes are not available. The ones which are available, are prepared in a completely unacceptable way. Too much oil, you see it on the bottom of the plate. A small restaurant with mostly local dishes, huge portions and very affordable prices. If you want to taste home-style Lithuanian cuisine, that is the right spot.
