Mamma Pizza - Vytauto pr. 37 — Restaurant in Kaunas

Really underwhelming experience. If it’s supposed to be one of the best restaurants in Kaunas, I’m really sorry for the citizens. It is more a bar than a pizza place (vibe wise). The wait for food was quite a long one, waiters were struggling with only like 3 customers in the restaurant 😁 The chilli meat soup was very good, as was the passion fruit lemonade. Pizzas were very MID, nothing special (this is for: CheesyChorizo; N’duja; Capriciossa was maybe a bit better but you can’t mess up the most basic pizza ever). Also pizzas had quite a weak base and that was apparent when all of the grease from the meat just went straight through the pizza dough. It is truly a sign that pizzas are not the restaurant’s specialty when they come with a small bucket of generic sauce beside them. Price was not too bad, but pizzas were not worth those 7-12€ quality wise. It is a shame that this restaurant is one of the top recommendations in Kaunas not only in Google Maps, but in TripAdvisor as well. The choices are endless and the pizzas taste amazing! However small place (if you only take in consideration indoor seating during winter). We came in and only one table was opened, I asked if it’s taken or reserved, they said it is not. We were about to take a seat as the other group claimed they came here first because one person from their group was sitting at the bar. I wish the waitress would’ve said something that we are right or they should’ve asked and occupied the table before us, instead we had to argue with them and had awful interaction as they were just yelling with no manners. Overall definitely would come back here for food but hopefully the place itself will expand or arrange indoors to fit...

I visited Mama Pizza right next door to the Ibis Styles Kaunas during my stay, and it was an absolute delight! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked — easily some of the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. The menu had a great selection, and everything came out quickly and piping hot.

The staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. You can tell they take real pride in their service and the quality of their food.
