Mr Jo’s hostel — Hotel in Kaunas

ARE YOU DESPERATELY SEARCHING THE HOSTEL? Also happened to me, but don’t worry, it exists, Google Maps just doesn’t indicate it at the right place. It’s directly next to the GINTARINĖ VAISTINĖ pharmacy. Glass door with white writing - so if you don’t know it’s there, it’s quite hard to spot. Staff told me they’ve been contacting Google Maps several times to correct it, but apparently still hasn’t happened.

If you’re successful in finding it it’s a pretty clean and nice place for some nights, also due to its central location. Price for value is top - I paid 12€ for a night in a mixed 6-bed-room with personal locker.

Missed some more power outlets in the rooms and reception should be manned at least at the indicated arrival time. I had to search inside for help because I found myself all alone when I wanted to do my check-in :’D besides that everything was satisfactory. Now that I know where it is, I would book...

Vibe in hostel is not good. Very old people. Common area is just sad. It's the first time I couldnt sleep for the constant snoring of an old guy in my bunkbed. Also the first time I have to wait in line to use a toilet. There are only 2 for 20+ people and most of the time dirty. In other hostels you can see people cleaning, in this one I've seen none. This hostel is very well made. New and comfy beds, clean, silent and in a good position. Showers are big and there's a window in the toilet. There are two astonishing washing machines: new models and expensive. You can sleep well! CONS: location from Google Maps is wrong, it's closer to main street.
