The building is a fragment of the Radziwill palace. One room and part of another is devoted to this family who were once so dominant in central Europe. The room with the 164 "portraits" is interesting but they are charactatures and bear no resemblance to the real people. The biographical detail though is gold to historians. A lot of information in Lithuanian and some in English. I am not complaining, it is their country but I felt that this part of the visit could have been more rewarding. The museum has visiting exhibitions which are really good, this spring it was on classical landscape etchings and engravings. Really excellent so worth visiting as you may be very pleasantly surprised. The remaining art collection is a mixed bag with religious art and classical art, not my taste. On the good side! If you're a cultural oriented person who could depict meaning out of the photos attached below 👇, you definitely would enjoy this place!!
On a side note, weirdly enough, there are gay clothing styles being displayed on TVs scattered around the floor of the museum alternating between multiple clips
My suggestion for families: DO NOT take your children here since it's unentertaining. And AVOID AT ALL COSTS, the modern art section, it's a bunch of low quality printed pictures captured by such a low quality camera, that even my Chinese budget phone!! Takes cleaner and sharper...
