Grand Luxury Hotel Semporna — Hotel in Borneo

1- For a supposedly recent hotel, the quality of the room and its equipment is deplorable (yellowish sheets that are not systematically changed between guests, a broken toilet lid that is unusable...). The worst part is the state of the fridge in the room (moldy, dirty, and barely functional). 2- The air conditioning is very weak and leaks directly onto the bed (considering that in a hot and humid city like Semporna, living without air conditioning is impossible). 3- Very unpleasant service. 4- Rooms are not insulated at all from the outside. For example, during storms or strong winds, you can smell the bad odors from the drains and sewers, and mosquitoes enter the room daily. 5- Noise and disturbances in the hallways, with children playing and shouting late into the night...

We stayed at Grand Luxury Hotel for three nights . The road to the hotel is a bit isolated but the hotel itself is very nicely maintained . The rooms are spacious with clean linen . There was a TV , Fridge , hairdryer, hot water , free WIFI and AC. There’s a big balcony with space to dry your clothes which is great . Also they allow your bags to be stored at the reception area until you return to your hotel if you can’t make it back in time for check out . The receptionist is very pleasant and helpful . Lovely spot one block to bus station and eight minutes from the jetty.

Clean, quiet, and comfortable with good AC and WiFi. Hotel appears to be brand new and staff are helpful and welcoming.
