Visited the well known pork noodle store in sabah and some rll good noodles. Took a photo of the multilingual shop sign.
traditional chinese is the first language used in the sign, followed by malay. this reflects the main languages used by people in Sabah and wider in Malaysia.
the mandarin in the sign says "Pork Noodles" but the malay can be roughly translated into "Melanian coffee shop". The translation is not an exact translation and "Melanian" is actually an ethnic group in Sabah. This could be an attempt to index authenticity by showing that the shop owners are of the ethnic group. The sign is big and in bright colours, and probably made to be very durable since its the main shop sign. Around the sign you can also see lots of foodpanda related signs, letting you know that you can order some delicious pork noodles through...

The noodles came topped with minced pork, and the black soy sauce was perfectly balanced—not too salty. The noodles themselves were wonderfully springy and lacked the alkaline taste you often get with KL’s yellow noodles.
The place was busy, clearly popular for its Sang Nyuk Mee.
I have to admit, Sabah’s Sang Nyuk Mee is, in my opinion, tastier than KL’s...

There’s a variety of different dishes to choose from but it was kinda average for me, nothing over the top just ok. The soup had a nice taste perhaps too sweet but the flavor frm the liver is apparent. Soup wasn’t super hot n the ketchup noodles were average. I got like 2 meat balls n a handful of pork slice n veggies n rm12.50 too steep for just a noodle dish. If u go for a bowl of mee soup it’s rm16.50 totally outrageous. Lintas has a lot of eateries n most of them are over priced. The chili sauce is hot though n thy sell thm in a bottle...
