Before coming back to Sibu due to a death of my family member. To be honest I did not know what to expect. I had read some reviews here and interestingly most of them are very true! The only strange review I read was some dude expecting smiling faces in this dangerous environment whereby you could be doors away from infected individuals. I found the workers here to be very hard working and efficient actually. Although mostly tired and alittle fearful, non were rude. If anything I would say I am truly grateful for all their efforts to transform their hotel into a quarantine center. Keep up the great work Hotel Premier staff! For those of you who are planing to travel during this pandemic, please do prepare well. I was fortunate to get Premier Hotel for my 2 weeks stay here. As many of the reviews mentioned, food here is rather good, plus before checking in the KKM will ask if you have any food allergies. So everyone will be getting something different. I was so delighted that almost everyday the menu was different for the 3 meals given. Apart from that you can also order additional food using either cash or pay by card. All food that I ordered taste very restaurant like 👍 The down side about living in Premier is that you will not be able to wash your clothes nor get to clean your toilets or floors for 2 weeks 😓 I kept demanding for tissue boxes and toilet paper in order to clean a little. However they do allow you to get your sheets changed during your stay. Plus they will send you some washing detergent for clothes and towel for hand washing 🙄 as well. Overall Premier Hotel made my stay there very hospitable. So even though it was not easy coming back, I am truly gratified that it was Premier Hotel. Would highly recommended it. Although it's really up to KKM to put you in either of the 3 hotels listed here as quarantine hotels. Hope this helps. Stay strong, Be safe and good...
Read moreI don’t think this place deserves any star from me!
Came with few friends for the BCF Event during Sarawak Day Weekend. My friends have room booked in this except for me. So i called, politely knowing it is a small city in Sarawak and everyone speaks Bahasa Malaysia or Ibanlanguage. I called speaking in our proud national language the Bahasa Malaysia asking if there is any room available . I called because I am sure many places are full because the event that is going on that weekend. To save me time and the hustle that’s why i called instead of walking in to check the room availability. The conversation goes like this “ hello, ini Premier Hotel Sibu? Saya nak tanya masih ada bilik lagi untuk hari ini check in and check out esok?”
Premier: Kami fully booked.. me: oh okay.. thank you
Disappointed? No? Because then with the support of my friends, they told me to call again in ENGLISH! But this time i asked my friends to talk (despite of their broken English) a friend call with a script made by myself.
Friend: hello! Is this Premier Hotel sibu? Is there room available for checking in today and check out tomorrow?
PREMIER MURAHAn: hello! Yes, we have one room with twin single bed. When do you want to check in?
My friend gave the phone to me and i spoke to them in my high class ENGLISH asking to confirm the type of room and the rate. WELL OF COURSE I’M DISAPPOINTED AND WITH THAT PRICE THEY MENTIONED?? The first impression told me not to waste money on this kind of HOSPITALITY! Bad bad bad!!
Event timeline: 22 July around 3-4pm So if you are working at the reception within this hour, Shame on you as Malaysian and Sarawakian. I think my English is far off better than yours. And yet you gave me false info upon my enquiry on room availability...
Read moreNot really recommended because: Front staff receptionist not very friendly and no smile on their face during arrival. Sour face always that make people feel annoying. Please improve on that and make sure put the staff that always give a smile to the guest so we will feel that we are welcoming to the hotel. No need to be pretty just always smile and soft spoken to the guest it would be nice. Please take note on that. Parking coupon for guest - i think it is better if the hotel write the date if let says the guest stayed for 2 days, why not just put the date on the coupon for 2 days. It is easier for the Guest and they will not always go to lobby just to take the coupon everyday. Make it easier for the guest and not to trouble the guest for the small things like that. And because of that the guest have to face the staff with sour face. If the staff is a friendly and always smile it is ok. Please take note for safety of the guest. I noted that the smoke detector is not functioning. Because there is one time when me and my family stayed there, on early in the morning i smell like a burn that wake me up. When i see outside there was smokes everyway in the corridor but the smoke detector doesn't function at all. Please check all the smoke detector in the building for the safety of all the guest including staff. It is very dangerous for staying there without...
