Had a bad experience with this hotel. Tried OYO chain hotel for the first time. Previously made my booking with different hotel thru Agoda with no problem. Made a booking here and upon checking in there was a problem...
Upon arrival, we were greeted with a sign that the staff is unavailable at the counter because he/she had to go the restroom. Nevermind that, everyone has their basic human rights to use the toilet.
Once the staff is back, we were greeted with not-so-welcoming vibe. The way he greeted us and way of speaking is for us, not the way you should to talk to your guest.
Had a problem with booking number. Apparently the booking number thru Agoda was not in OYO booking system. OYO booking system auto cancelled my booking because there was no phone number provided. They did not ask for my phone number beforehand. So is this my problem?
The guy asked us to call Agoda help line and continue idling at the desk. He just waited while I call Agoda CS. The guy didn't bother to offer any room that is equivalent or less/more. I wouldn't mind to pay extra honestly.
Luckily Agoda CS is good and tried to rectify the booking. BUT the damage is done. I decided to cancel my booking despite the penalty being charged or not to my CC, I do not care anymore.
While waiting for agoda CS, we noticed that other guests were treated unfairly. One male guest asked for towel change from the front desk and he was questioned by the staff why he did not ask for the towels in the morning beforehand. Another male guest asked whether he can prolong his stay for 1 more day and was denied the request. The staff could politely explain and decline the request ( e.g if extend 1 day, you may or may not get the same room/have to pay more).
Even this is a budget hotel chain, does not mean your attitude is 'cut to the...
Read moreHotel has three floors, i requested for first floor but given third floor. We have to carry our heavy luggage for 2/3 trips from our cars since there is no lift in the hotel.
Worse, there is no electric kettle in the room, u have to go down to ground floor to fetch the hot water. Suggestion, you can provide water heater on 2nd floor. Upon check in there is a big stain on the bed sheet.
There are a lot of parkings. However! Must prepare the coupon parking, we were fined by DBKK bcuz of that. I was saving budget, but because of that, the total of cost is almost the same as another hotel with parking facilities and lift as well. 😂
Oh ya and one thing is, the remotes are given during check in on the counter, and the aircond remote given is not functioning. So we cannot control the temperature. Especially its quite hot during evening but we have to endure it.
So in conclusion, this is the first and last. Especially if have infant or toodler, just dont. Okay for solo...
