TL:DR - Don't do it, find somewhere else. For your own time/sake/sanity.
I don't even know where to start. How is this even 3.8 star hotel on Google? The owner must have spent all the budget to boosting the ratings instead of improving this aged hotel.
I checked in at 8.40 PM. Please let me emphasize on PM. That means the hotel had at least 5 hours since 3PM, the usual time allowed to check in, to prepare a room. I was told to wait at the counter, as they had to check if the room has been cleaned. clearly not, read on for more
Being a traveller to Sabah, it is only logical for me to indulge in seafood. I bought some frozen fishes, assuming this BIG hotel would at least have a freezer to keep it in. I was told "sorry sir, the freezer is out of order". Please assume all foods for the cafe and restaurant is kept in the mini bar or ordered from a third party.
Finally checked into the room, please find everything listed as MISSING. Shower towels, facial towels, laundry bag, a kettle, hand soap (ran out of stock), room slippersimportant for next point
Washroom/toilet was not actually cleaned. How you ask? There's hair all over the floor that's clearly not mine. I would usually rough it out, but assuming I paid for a hotel with such ratings, could I expect some sort of standards?
Had the fright of my life when seated on the toilet, when the seat decided it was a rollercoaster ride instead of just being a toilet seat. Running left to right, requiring me to move it back to place.
WiFi for the rooms are not available. Please use it at the lobby. What time and age are we living in? Please sure there is mobile data, but why use my spotty line when I was supposed to have a strong WiFi in my room to do my work. I'm supposed to be writing reports in the lobby? How? Again I ask, was this place rated so high? Screw all those fake reviews, give me something honest and I would have less expectations to something I had to pay for.

At 12pm,i call the front desk to ask again, then she said just wait.At 1 pm, my husband go to reception counter to ask again & again, the receptionist said JUST WAIT..SHE WILL CALL LATER..And at 2.05pm,i call the front desk again, & at this time she said OH SORY,THE QUEEN BED ROOM IS NOT AVAILABLE..MY quiry is, why you make us waiting for the whole morning to wait the queen bed room, & at the end the room is not available? The staff on duty really waste my precious time..if we know in early the room is not available, we will decide to check out. And the room given last night also not comfortable with the TV not function. My husband has another booking to extend our stay in SOH for 2 nights more, but when this happend to us, we already cancelled the booking.The hotel service really dissapointed us. Tea bag and coffee provided, but no kettle, I requested but hotel staff said no kettle... so I stay therefew days with no kettle
There is no Iron but there is an iron board. I requested, yes they gave me this time.
No toothbrush and toothpaste provided, I requested only they provided.
No shower gel nor shampoo provided. I requested.
No toilet roll/paper, I requested, the staff said no stock! How possible it is that a 4 star hotel no toilet roll?

The furniture using wooden material, it is quite dusty. I ask the cleaner to clean the next day
The floor is sandy, I asked the cleaner to clean it the next day.
Room service did not refill the shower gel nor shampoo, and also not changing the towel, even after I make request to change in the morning, there is no any changes when I back from work in the evening.
The hot water is just only warm even switch to the maximum temperature available, sad.
The food so so, not a 4 star standard, with the room condition, I didn't expect much on food.
Staff is good and nice, Can't denied that, just the facilities that available does not worth a 4 star Hotel for me, only 2.5 or 3 star. It is under Crystal crown, even Crystal Crown in KL just 3 star or other 3 star hotel, the facilities still better, at least won't tell me toilet roll no stock... or no change of towel during room cleaning
