Song Service Apartment (Formerly Jinhold Service Apartment) — Hotel in Borneo

My family went for a vacation last Christmas and stayed at the apartment for 6 days stay. Upon arrival the two bedroom apartment was dusty, floor dirty and lizard dropping was on the corner of the room and on the fridge top. The fridge has mould. The toilet was quite dirty you can see moulds on the bottom of the wash basin and walls of the bathroom. My daughter was bitten by bed bugs and her face and eyes was swollen. Bedsheet was dusty and has yellowish stan on it. The house keeping did clean the room every morning to change the bath towels but we dont't dare to use it cause it was very smelly even thou they put new towels everday. Housekeeping did not even wipe the lizard droppings on top of the fridge.Overall our stay was a bit disappointing and maybe we would not booked our stay again there. The front office was quite rude when my daughter reminded them to do the housekeeping in our room when they did not do the housekeeping one morning. We used to stay at the apartment few years back when on vacation but at that time the rooms are bit okay but our stay last chrismtmas was very dissapointing. Maybe the management could do some reburishment to the apartment as they are quite old and most paint are faded already. Overall I would not recommend my family members and friends to stay there not be impolite...

We chose this hotel because of its location to where we wanted to go, and price was reasonable. The twin bedded room is located on the 4th floor and there is no lift in this hotel. The room is equipped with a small kitchenette and an electric kettle. There are however no plates,cutleries, or cooking utensils available and I was told by front desk that they will provide whatever you need upon request only. We asked for an extra pillow(there is surcharge levy if you ask for more than that) and hair dryer which was sent to the room fairly fast. The linens are reasonably clean but overall cleanliness of the room could be better improved (e.g. under the beds). Simple local breakfast choice - it's more of eat to fill the tummy but not to the taste buds' delight. Coffee tasted very diluted. For the price we paid for the room, I supposed you can't expect too much.||There is a free water dispenser at the front desk. ||Housekeeping is offered only upon request. ||There are lots of eateries located about 5 mins walk from the hotel.
