M Design Hotel @ Shamelin Perkasa — Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

Used to be my favourite hotel whenever im in kl but i guess i will not return to this hotel anymore. The current hotel staff has showing attitude of lack of interest in their role, no professionalism and impolite. To my observations, there is no specific role of all staff/dept eg. he/she could be the receptionist, housekeeper, maintenance etc. Depends on my luck, upon checking in i may or may not be greeted or charging at the appropriate room rate. On the next morning, i may not need an alarm clock to wake as the housekeeping exercise will be very alarming esp if my next room guest is checking out earlier than me. I always wonder how the hotel staff is cleaning the room because the noise created was like shifting/changing the entire furniture. The room's proof of volume is already weak as u can almost count the number of times next room guest flushing the toilet bowl. If im checking in late, i mean after midnite, i could witness the hotel staff sleeping at the foyer and the security guard browsing internet at the pc which made available for guests. No doubt uniform is given to all staff but...

Rooms includes a safe, 5 clothes hanger, 2 trash bins, 2 bottles of water, electronic kettle, hair dryer and lots of electrical outlets. I can't understand the cold and hot shower because cold water suddenly gets hot then cold again. Toilet is nice and clean. No grime because maybe hotel is still new. Free and decently fast wifi. Breakfast is not free and you will have to pay at the reception. Available food are noodles, chips and cookies. They will also provide coffee and powdered chocolate drink, not free again. Free brochures and maps about Malaysia at the reception, not easily noticeable. Good English-speaking staff.||Near a grocery store and several restaurants. ||We enjoyed our stay here and can't wait to come back to our room every after tiring day. Hotel is beside a main road but I haven't noticed road noise even being at the 2nd floor and facing the road itself.||Just a little lesson we learned, cab drivers may find it a hard time to drive you here because they're not much familiar of the place even if we tell all the landmarks we know of. The staff is friendly. The ambience of the front desk is nice. Good to have breakfast included in this booking. The food is normal but ok. What made me feel that they can improve is :1. The cleanliness of the room. I booked a non smoker room and was given a cigarette reeks room. 2. To improve on the aircond as I have set it 16 C feels like 27 C. Fan maxed but doesn’t feel any air coming out frm the aircond. Only to 2-3 am it suddenly works fine. 3. The floor of the room feel sticky. 4. The toilet sink and bowl has hard water marks. Make it feel and looked dirty but it is decent not dirty. 5. Cafe is a buffet style but it would be great to have proper labelling so that it is easier to see what it is inside the tray.Overall, I will give a 5/10 for this hotel. For budget and a single day stay the price is good. But experience wise it is not that pleasant. Given the price not...
