I spent a night here because it was my best friends sons little wedding dinner get together with our Seremban family. Checking in was a breeze for me I must say. But my room wasn’t what I’d have expected out of a 4-star hotel. (The concierge manager was adamant that it’s a 5-star…🤭) Curtains were off the hook, the wooden cabinet housing the mini bar was broken at the hinge, and the bed felt lumpy in so many places. After checking in, I had a late lunch at the Asiatique restaurant and ordered a nasi goreng bonda. It was ok but the sambal belacan that accompanied it was already spoilt. The satay sauce was so pale I thought it was mixed with mayonnaise! During our dinner with the family at the same restaurant, luckily the food was good and we enjoyed it. Everything tasted flavourful. 👍🏼 Only complaint is that lack of staff, and untrained staffs hence our food arriving late. Not an excuse because they should be prepared as the next day was a public holiday and to expect a little crowd. We weren’t informed of “last call” for food so when the kids wanted to order dessert, we were told sorry kitchen closed. I took it upon myself to see the restaurant manager and to complain about this as I’m also in the F&B industry. Edwin the restaurant manager apologised for the incident and offered some fruit platter for us as complimentary. 👍🏼 The next day, at breakfast buffet, I just found everything to be bland, tasteless. It was as if the chefs forgot to season almost all of their food! Nasi lemak sambal was bland, mee goreng bland, chicken rendang bland… 🤷🏻♀️ Oh and my friend who’s booked 3 rooms for herself and family whom all flew in from the US a day before, they all had their nightmare check-in horror story… they were given key cards to their rooms which weren’t even made up yet after the last guests left! Then I saw their bathrooms bathtub to be mouldy and scummy. All their rooms had a weird odour. At least I was lucky enough to get a decent room albeit a couple faults. All in all, Royale Chulan Seremban really REALLY need a huge wake up call in terms of wanting to get a 5 star rating. I’d give it a weak 3 star to be honest. Oh and a big shocker was that there were no alcohol beverages served! It’s such a cunning thing because I did read somewhere in a hotel write up saying “…. Served lovely cocktails…” but when we enquired, we were told Nopes, no alcohol. Well. First and last for all of us. Please do better Royale Chulan...
Read moreThe service was terrible. I'm regular guest after 10 years, but recently since pass 2 years, the services so bad. There was a bad incident, but i don't take it seriously. But this time i need to give feedback.||||1. Since all my stayed, when i checked in, they only informed me that if i go to breakfast, just mentioned my room number. But when i went there, the staff asked me breakfast coupon and insist me to get from receptionist.||||2. Since all my stayed, i've been mentioned that i've got complimentary parking and during that time, still got no auto gate like now. But then someday there was a staff asked me money for car park fee. Someday no staff waited there.||||3. Just last week i stayed there, as i know for the whole of my life, i never asked for tidy up the room from many hotels i've stayed, except if the receptionist informed me upon checkin, then i understand. But this time when i came back from work, my room haven't make up, so i informed the bell boy (uncle with white hair), suddenly that uncle keep on repeating that "ms need to put the sign to tidy up the room, how could we know if u want to tidy up the room, there are a lot others room" who cares? if many rooms, how the hotel manage it? this uncle keep on repeating with high voice. Even i had stopped the argument, he kept on speak that he worked there since 2004 bla bla bla.||||4. I went to receptionist ask for the manager, to ask if this is the correct rule, coz since 10 yrs, i've never been mentioned on this. Receptionist told me that the manager will call me that night.||5. Nahhhh no call from the manager. But when i was at the lobby want to speak with receptionist, this uncle keep on talking loudly, and other guest in lobby looked at me. Embarrassing. But i need to respect this old man.||||6. When i asked for invoice upon check out, receptionist always told me that they will send through email. But there will be never sent. I need to call them again ana again. They asked me to whatsapp. But still got no respond. the only way is keep calling. This is miserable||||No more stay here...
Read moreChecked in on weekdays for 2D1N. A last minute short escape for my family. It’s year end 2023 school holiday and it was our luck we got a special discounted price for a room. My honest review: Room: Spacious room and suitable for family of 5. Carpeted so the floor not cold. The bathroom is big too, separated shower, bath tub and toilet. My kids enjoy playing water in the bath tub. Internet connection is strong. I have no comment on the furniture because i like vintage vibes. Pool: 1 adult pool with 4.5ft depth. Baby/Toddler pool around 2ft depth. Jakuzi pool around 3ft depth. Clean pool with beautiful landscape. Close to nature concept. Mr Murugiah- the pool staff is so nice and generous explained to us the pool’s facilities before we start swimming. Also he provides floaties, swimming board and goggles. So don’t worry if you forget to bring your own. Thank you Mr Murugiah for your warm gesture and friendly manner🥰. But one thing,I don’t know the pool’s rules, swimming attire is not strict. There were other families who didn’t wear swimming attire. At least jersey material. Parking: Free parking for in-house guest. Just validate your TNG at receptionist counter before you go out. Parking lights and vibe like in horror movies- spooky and dark👻 Service, staff and facilities: The staff at the lobby was super attentive. I didn’t get his name, but age like pakcik, like our abah’s age, offer us trolley service for our luggage to our room. He even unload the luggage in our room and showed us kiblat and sejadah. We were overwhelmed🥲. Receptionist also considerate let us checked in as early as 2.30pm (Normal check-in 3pm) since the room is ready. Love it⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall we enjoy our stay because we were treated as VIP guests (though we paid for the cheapest room🤭) and felt like family. Thank you so much Royale Chulan Hotel & Resort for your warm...
