The Good Part : The only best thing about this Hotel is the location, it's right next to the beach. You have direct access to the beach from the resort.
Not so good part : Day 1 : The Room - I was traveling with my wife and a kid. Surprisingly the room given to me had two single beds instead of a king size. I requested the hotel staff for a King bed, but unfortunately my request was not entertained, citing unavailability as a reason. The room on the ground floor( they call it first floor) was very basic. Furniture was worn out. Could not use TV as the remote wasn't working. Bathroom : Again, it needs improvement. The towel provided were felt as if they have been used and washed million times (felt rough). Never seen before in a hotel, bathroom door was a folding type😄 ( I suppose this was due to space crunch).
Day 2 : We extended our stay for one more day here ( as no other hotel rooms were available). This time we got a room on 1st floor ( they call it second) . The room here was lot bigger with a king size bed and a single bed. This was lot better as compared to Day 1. Bathroom and furniture was basic.
The Service, Cafeteria and the staff : For the service I would give rating of 2 to 2.5. The hotel staff was polite but service wise were little dull. I requested for a bottle of mineral water at 11 pm, the staff denied stating they cannot provide as the cafeteria is closed. I was surprised by this - as a guest we at least expect water to be served any time of the day. When asked, what if someone is thirsty in the middle of the night, the staff had no answer. But recommended to boil the water from wash basin and use it. This really was disappointing. As mentioned earlier, the hotel cafeteria does not operate 24/7. It closes by 10. Food wise, very limited options. Breakfast at the hotel was okay - includes local and western food; sausages beans, omelette, local tea and coffee few fruits etc. WiFi : The WiFi only works at the concierge. No reception in the rooms.
Last words: Go for it if you don't get any other better...
Read moreVery bad & lousy customer service... We went for company trip, one of the male colleague left his room card in the slot, and when we returned the room card was gone, so we asked the counter whether the cleaner took it away during room service, but the cleaner denied and shouted, the GM also keep insisting that all their staff won't take away room card from slot, that if we lost the room card we must compensate RM100... We were in a hurry rushing to next destination, so we stopped arguing, later during afternoon trip, another female colleague knew about this incident and said when she went back to her room just now, a room card was sticking in her room's card slot, she was wondering why so as she had her room card with her... When we returned to resort at night, we went to her room and checked out that room card, yessssss it's the one the male colleague left in his room!! Next day when checking out, we talked about this to the GM, he still insisted that their staff won't take away customer room card and said they dun want to argue anymore since card ady found, we were like, hello!!! ??? It's us who dun want to argue with you anymore coz we're in a rush, we can understand that sometimes resort staff maybe careless and accidentally took the room card and placed it in another room, but at least you owe us an apology right? But noooooo, no apology at all, and the GM was like 100% sure all resort staff won't do a single wrong thing, if customer complain sure is customer problem, hey, so you think we're cooking this up for fun? Or the card had grown feet and ran from one room to another? In addition to this, one of our rooms was left unlocked after room service... Really cannot tahan this GM, bad attitude!!! The only good thing about this resort is the location, directly by beach side, however if anyone ask, I sure will stop them from booking...
Read moreWe booked our room on Agoda and got a good deal on room and breakfast but after we checked in we realised that the resort had chalets on the other side of their premises. We couldn't access the resort's website before making the reservations. Since we had paid we opted for the room in the block. The room was moderately sized, clean but the doors under the sink have wears at the edges. Bathroom ceiling had seen its days and the leak in a corner next to a louvered glass window was poorly patched and it looked shabby. The plastic collapsible door was so dated and terribly noisy when one of us had to use the bathroom in the wee hours of the morning! Breakfast servings were inconsistent and it all based on occupancy. When the occupancy is really low we were served better food cos we had a choice to order American Breakfast which the management had termed it incorrectly. What they served was actually Continental .... eggs of your choice, sweet beans from a can and weenies! But one could still help oneself to cut fruits, bread with spread, coffee and tea from a counter. If one chose a local breakfast, a choice of fried noodles or soup noodle was displayed but the latter never existed. So when they had more guests in house they put out fried noodle, rice porridge with condiments, DIY soup noodle, cut fruits and the regular bread spread. One had to know what one would be served the next morning and had to be prepared to come early so as not to miss out on breakfast at the buffet. Besides these poorly planned breakfasts and the maintenance of the rooms in the block and lacking of poolside chairs, the beach and pool were a comfort. The Great Hornbill and his companions the Oriental Pied Hornbills who were tolerant of human beings and seeing the birds coming so close to us was a wonderful...
