This is my first trip to Pangkor Island. I had book this hotel last minute in Agoda after I bought the ticket for last ferry 7.15pm from Marina to Pangkor. I had choose this hotel because I had see the review is not bad with 5star review for all the review in year 2020 and they rank 5th for overall best hotel in Pulau Pangkor. When I arrive at the hotel, there is nobody there for me to do the check in. I am thinking the staff maybe out to buy or having their dinner. But after a while 2 of the staff is back in the property and told me they are not expecting any guest so they went out to buy dinner. After thinking a while, it is not surprise as they not expect anyone today. First I only do the booking not long ago so they may not had received the email from Agoda. Second, today Malaysia recorded the highest day for people infected with Covid-19. As this 2 reason, they sure will not expecting any guest for the day.||But this not concern me at all, because I am having great time while staying at this hotel. Below are all the reason which I will highly recommend this hotel to who had read my review here. |1. The hotel rate is reasonable. The room is chalet/villa type which the room rate is cheap.|2. This hotel had been newly renovated so it is cosy to stay. Please do not read any review before year 2020. They had renovated the hotel in 2020, all the furniture is new and the stay is cosy.|3. The staff and management is very friendly. They will assist you in what they can.|4. There is a fews bicycle to use for free at the hotel.|5. The location is very good. Walking distance to the Pasir Bojak Beach. And there is a lot of Chinese and Malay restaurant nearby. (Fully recommend “Chao Seng Seafood Rstaurant” nearby)|6. There is a few motor bike or car rental outside the hotel which for sure will be convenient for you to ride around the island. (Recommend to take a bike and you can ride the bike for island tour) ||I feel so relax and happy for my 3d2n trip while staying at this hotel. Will come back to stay here for my next trip to Pangkor Island again. Again, Tripadvisor had not disappointed me when I am searching for a hotel stay to a place which I am not familiar. I hope with my review I can make this property to more higher ranking so that everyone will be happy to...
Read moreWe spend RM596 for 3 days 2 night at this hotel. Here what we get.
Room ⭐️ : We booked a premier king room but got slapped with a filthy, dusty room that reeked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. Went to the reception to ask what’s up, and the staff just said they “don’t know” and we demand a change. The replacement room? Still gross. We literally had to borrow a broom and sweep the floor ourselves because housekeeping clearly doesn’t exist here. The bathroom was nasty, water pressure was pathetic, and the “water heater” was just a useless prop stuck on the wall. Honestly felt like we paid for stress instead of comfort.
Food ⭐️ : Food was straight up disappointing, bland, zero taste. Honestly felt like I was eating just to fill my stomach, not to enjoy anything. Service was a joke. Only one poor guy running back and forth trying to refill everything, but obviously he couldn’t keep up. The so-called “nasi lemak”? Totally off. The fried chicken was so salty I felt like I was licking seawater.
Location ⭐️⭐️⭐️ : Location wise, I’d give it maybe 3 stars. Mainly because it’s close to Pangkor town. Easy to move around from the jetty and do some shopping. But let’s be clear, this is not a beachfront resort. If you wanna walk to the beach, it’ll take you around 5-7 minutes. At night? Forget it. The road is dark, creepy, and honestly feels unsafe. Definitely not the kind of place you’d want to stroll back from the beach after dinner.
Services ⭐️ : Staff were unfriendly, untrained, and clearly had no clue how to handle guests. Please, do yourself a favor and pick literally anywhere else...
Read moreMy family,24 of us checked in Pangkor Holiday Resort for our Christmas holidays on 25/12/22. As we reached the jetty, the person in charge who had promised hotel transfer asked us to find our own taxis. After some negotiation at last he arrived to the jetty to arrange for our transport.Once we reach the resort, were given few family rooms and twin sharing rooms for our group. We were “amazed” with the room condition. Extremely dirty, unkept and old. Stained comforter and bed sheets, dirty toilet walls and wild boar loitering at wee hours.Refer photos attached.||||We have made arrangements for dinner at the cafe , it was our Christmas dinner. We have repeatedly inform the sales person that it was family Christmas dinner and requested them to ensure the requested menu is served. Again they disappointed us with array of wrong dishes which my family members were unable to eat or compromise .The dining area were not only dirty but also very much unkept. Please refer photos attached||||Their daily morning breakfast was also a shame as not only no food were replenished but there were also not enough utensils like cutleries, cups and plates provided ||||In short ,our holiday were ruined. They did partially refund us but our holiday mood and festival spirit were not totally spoiled as we had to spent even more for transport and food outside the resort.Extremely...
