Grand Bagan Hotel — Hotel in Penang

Our stay at this hotel was decent overall. The location is okay, quite a busy place, nearby is chinese restsurant. Parking quite difficult to find if the parking lot provided was full. The staff was ok. The cleanliness of property was satisfactory, though there are some areas that could have been improved. They provide Coway (cold water not working) & iron board at the hall. Also instant coffee premix at the room. However, we found the room size to be a bit small, theres just a small space in front of the door that we put our sandals and bags and all, and we have to pray on the bed. Besides, the matress also stiff and the pillow too firm. Size of the toilet also small (smaller than the lift), and the shower gell and shampoo was the same liquid. The hot water supply was reliable, which was positive aspects. The value for money was fair, though all hotels in penang are quite expensive. Good position, just 5 minutes by car from the bus and ferry terminal. Staff very kind and helpful. Good area with a lot of restaurants nearby. Water dispenser provided for hot and cold water (the one on our floor was working with hot water only.Just cleanliness very poor, we found a lot of dust and some old snack packages under the bed, we asked to clean and they did it immediately. Some common areas need cleaning and/or maintenance. They don’t mentioned that and how much is the tourist tax, so expect to pay 10 ringgit more per night by cash upon checkin, a bit more clear and transparent information would be appreciated.Overall for medium/good accommodation for the price paid, considering that George Town and hinterland are...

I am currently staying at your hotel, and I am very disappointed with the overall service and room conditions. The water from the tap is dirty, and essential items such as toothbrushes, soap, tissues, and bottled water are not provided. There is also no kettle in the room, and I have to leave the room just to make hot water.

Additionally, the soundproofing is very poor I can clearly hear conversations from the next room, which makes it difficult to rest comfortably.

I hope these issues can be resolved immediately, as this experience does not reflect the standard one would expect from a hotel...
