Marina Oriental Hotel — Hotel in Penang

Value for money if you really plan to stay just to sleep for the night. For single bed room, the toilet is detached from the room you are staying, it is private but you need to pass by other rooms to access the toilet and unlock your personal bathroom. It is recommended only if you are working and plan to travel elsewhere the next morning. Additionally the room is too small just enough for me to take a 360 degrees turn.

As for the Double bed room, it is cozy and and bathroom is attached to the room. Decent stay and clean. If you are looking for a comfortable stay just pick this one instead of a single bed room.

Surprisingly, the air conditioning of the room is cold enough and ceiling fan is also available. If you want icy cold room, just switch on both and you will be in heaven.

It's near to that viral nasi kandar shop. The bathroom door is semi transparent so it can be a bit uncomfortable. The room have option to either user air-conditioning or ceiling fan so we don't have to suffer in the middle of the night. Idk about other rooms but our room is right next to the stairs so we can hear people going up and down if they are being a bit loud. The check out was fast. Maybe because we were early? But its was a fast service. It was also next to speedmart so we can quickly grab our toiletries. And there's also a dobi right next to it in case people...

There was a problem with the booking and when I arrived in the middle of the night there was no room left. But the manager took care of it all and helped above and beyond to get me a room in the hotel across the street without any additional charge.
