Lodge 18 Hotel — Hotel in Penang

Good first: for the spacious toilet and room. Lights and TV shows were ample in brightness in the room though hardly watched any. Aircond works well and gets cold quickly as to your preference. Water pressure was really good and toilet was generally clean. Ok, here comes the bad: small gaps at the side of the door and a huge gap at the bottom of the main door resulting in us hearing shouts and screams from kids to loud conversations by adults walking by. Limited toilet roll. No hotel toiletries provided which is alright as this is a 3 star hotel. Poor service given by the lobby older lady in tudung who was always entertaining customers who cut our queue and spoke rudely to non customers who asked for the toilet but replied with a hard looking face like she was in a funeral. We came in at the fortunate time to hear customers complain about the electricity that was cut for a good 8 hours yesterday and that another customer said he comes by often to realize this hotel has frequent electricity cuts. Next, inside the room, the toilet lights was a bit dim for my liking and the noise coming from the back alley due to excited kids shouting and laughing can be heard in the room. If I don't have anywhere else to stay, I might still reconsider this is a last resort unless they buck up their hotel front...

Worth the price (considering budget hotel) Spacious bath with tub (no kidding) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Penang Art Walk is here, the road beside this hotel Now they got the Char Kue Teow and Nasi Lemak stall in front of the hotel, opening hour - night time The front view room is majestic! (day and night) The rear view room is fantastic! You have the Art Walk view at night, it was really nice! Other mamaks, KFC, 7 Eleven, Bakery, Marts, Shops, restaurants, Banks and etc (which make it so convenient) are in walking distance range Bring along your sports shoe and join the folks, boys and girls jogging and playing at the field in front of the hotel Coway at certain level and the G floor,the massage chair at the G floor too with soothing classic jazz song...

This place has been turned into a foreign workers' hostel with more than two pax squeezed into rooms with such 'guests' loitering in the lobby & outside the premises. It was noisy & dirty. The small tv was not working properly & the bathtub was dirty. Shampoo cum body wash came in small sachets. Air-conditioner at minimum 16°...
