JUNE 2023
Lived here for 2 years so I thought I'd leave a review for future tenants. Overall I enjoyed my stay here. Its a bit on a pricy side, esp if you are a local student. Just note there are a number of expats here. British, Indian, American, Philippines, Europeans. Most of the tenants here are young adults, but I've met a few young families and retired couples. Location wise, it is very convenient for me, even if I dont drive around.
GENERAL Very simple interior, nothing special. Management is responsive. Lift is always functioning. Only once in a while, 1 lift is under maintenance but there are 4 lifts so you don't have to wait too long. Apartment is also clean. Garbage is removed every time so there are no bad smells. Guards are helpful. Convenience store is available at ground floor. Never had issues with water. I don't have issues with pests in my unit.
Sometimes you can hear sounds from the warehouse next to the apartment early morning. I usually tune it out, but there are times when it occasionally annoys me. Not a deal breaker for me, just the reality of city living.
UNIT The unit itself is comfy for 2-3 people . Cooking may be uncomfortable, as there is no actual window but just a single small ventilation window in the common area. I cook anyway & leave my door open to let the air out (with grills locked). Most other tenants do the same. There's one drain hole in the common area & it stinks. We put a box on it to block the smell. No issue afterwards.
PARKING Id say the big downside here is the parking. Its a very tight turn in the parking garage and scary to drive if u bring a large vehicle. The roads outside have also been under construction for the whole 2 years I've been here.
AMENITIES Swimming pool & gym is small but decent enough. Simple weights, some treadmills & machines. Probably only 3-4 people use it per day. I usually have the whole place to myself and I can do supersets without bothering anyone.
SHOPPING/FOOD Indian restaurant with good food on ground floor. You get Thai & Japanese food across the road. The nearest supermarket & food options is only 13 mins away by foot. There's cheap Malay food (hidden in the pasar behind Digital Mall) & a Chinese food court. Every afternoon, there's food truck selling cheap local food at the alley by Maybank. Also, don't forget to check out Kings Hall Café, right next to the apartment hiding in plain sight. Really good coffee, I highly recommend. There's also a popular drinking place with live music at Tavern13 next to PJ Midtown.
TRANSIT Its 10-15 min drive to closest train station (MRT Phileo & LRT Asia Jaya). No direct busses to UM, but u can walk towards the commercial area to get a bus that drops u outside the UM Bangsar gate.
This is a review for long term rental, not for the OYO home thats supposedly...
Read moreNice place, studio apartment for one or two people. Have all amenities you could asked for, but only couple things slack in execution. Booked it on agoda, but on oyo my booking hadn’t appear and I can’t checked in, although I already booked the place a day before. i have to wait in front of the premises for more than hours. Several calls had to be made, and finally a runner come at this point it reach 2 hours. You can only park outside the apartment but at your own risk. if you want to park inside you gotta pay rm10 from midnight till morning. Other downside is. The toilet is really dirty, you can see the mildew and a mold in between the crevices, the shower head broke, the floor still had so many water spot or some type of spot that appeared when it dry, definitely stepped in with a pair of thongs. and also had an old sock smells. Sofa bed at the 13-08 is broke but still there like it purposely made like that. Can’t turned on the tv at all. Internet was good. Fridge are dirty I can’t imagine what had been stuffed inside and be left like that till the...

Lies about he had done maintenance for the air con. Kindly contact the service guy. They cleaned the air con outer case full of dust in the toilet and it still so fresh like it happened yesterday. The air con piping has very serious issue which it leaks every 2 to 3 weeks. Monthly maintenance for the air con costs RM80 per service. 😂
Lied about the condition of the premise. Never mentioned about the unit is infested with cockroaches. After the tenant discovered, he just pass a name card and tell me to solve myself as it is “normal”.
Lies about to rent out the parking lot. It is strictly prohibited to rent out any parking lot to the third party.
Lies about the sliding door is fixed. Can’t even open with one hand as...
