After Visiting 8 Chinese Restaurants… This was our pick!

After visiting 8 Chinese restaurants across the Klang Valley in search of the perfect spot to celebrate my mom’s birthday, we finally decided to host here — and we’re so glad we did.

Ample of parking space on Sunday evening. You can park at Jaya 33 shopping mall or the Plaza 33 next door.

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt just right for a family celebration: warm, elegant, and welcoming. The service was top-notch throughout the evening, and we were truly impressed by the attention to detail.

The restaurant features a spacious hall with a stage and allow us to deco for the event and even a karaoke system, which added fun and entertainment to the evening

A big plus: We especially appreciated their flexibility in partitioning a private space for our group, giving us more comfort and intimacy for the celebration.

Accommodating staffs and good service are plus points too. Special thanks to Ms. Elaine, who was incredibly helpful and accommodating from the start. The staffs are locals who can communicate and understand the guests. The entire service team who made sure everything ran smoothly.

The food was a highlight — beautifully presented and full of authentic flavour. We especially enjoyed the [insert standout dishes, e.g., Peking duck, steamed 龙吨鱼 (Loong Dun Fish), prawns, etc.], though honestly, every dish we ordered was delicious. Portions were generous.

They even surprised my mom with a birthday 寿包 (longevity buns), which really made her feel celebrated. It’s little gestures like these that make a big difference. This is one of the "standout“ food of the evening — soft, warm, and filled with a complete salted egg yolk inside. It was both symbolic and delicious, a lovely touch for a birthday celebration that everyone appreciated.

While the overall experience was excellent, there was one small letdown. We were informed beforehand that there was no corkage charge for bringing our own red wine, which we appreciated. However, we weren’t told that there would be a RM100 fee for bringing our own soda drinks. While we understand if there’s a policy, a clearer explanation in advance would have helped us plan better and avoid any surprise charges.

That said, the evening overall was a great success. My mom was happy, the family had a wonderful time, and we left with full stomachs and warm hearts.

Thank you again to Ms. Elaine and all the staff for helping us create such a...

They may deserve 5 stars environment, but the food and service is bad, and I must specify their service was horrible and does not match to the standard of the environment of the restaurant, it feels like a hawker stall style service I got there, but I must say their foreign waiters did their job just fine, by attending to our request and changed our plates regularly, but a few local staff were very rude. My dad asked one of the local staff that one of our food has yet to arrive, instead of checking with the kitchen, he literally answered 'Ya your food is on the way already and the food confirm will come one, is preparing inside the kitchen already', in a pretty rude way, this young man could have answer it nicely and at least go to the kitchen and find out and give us an update. Very bad attitude for someone working in f&b industry.

And We still waited for around 7-9 mins for that food to arrived. And while paying for the bill, another local staff, a mid age person, looks like the manager, he actually took the card and inserted the credit card to the card machine in a very rough way and the credit card got bend, my dad was quite upset and this staff did not react to it at all! Do beware and do not allow them to take and insert your card, is much better that you wave the card to the card machine by yourself.

Is ridiculous that we paid for the service tax yet we are getting such services, it seems like oriental group is focusing more on cooking and serving food more than providing a service to their customers. I had the similar experience with one of their branch at BSC, I thought it was a separate case, totally unbelievable that the similar experience happened at Jaya 33 branch as well!

Dear directors of oriental group, I know you guys are a big consortium with plenty of capital to invest to this f&b industry, but my humble advice is do spent some money on educating your staffs to be more polite to their customers, especially when you charge us a very high pricing on the foods. We do not belong to the B40 group, I dont recall myself entering a street hawker stall to have meal, we are here to spent and enjoy the food and services.

I wish you a good luck on running the business. Ahh yes not to forget, environment was decent, very classy with good air conditioning, perhaps it can be perfect if the service matches with the...

First time here. We got a nice private room with big table. Food was ok. The prawn curry was very nice and the fried buns to go with the curry. But the buns were very small. Would be nice to have more buns or bigger buns to finish up the curry. There were 14 of us and supposed to get 7 large prawns cut in half. But only 6 and half prawns were in the curry and one of us had to wait for the kitchen to get in the half prawn that was missing. How odd. Did they not count? Couldn't give more stars as the service was poor. We called to book the dishes in and expect to get every dish as requested. When we arrived, we got told that they don't have the soup dish we ordered. We've also mentioned to have zero mushrooms as we have someone with allergy. Unfortunately, a dish came with mushrooms and we were like ok, the person with allergy can skip that dish. And then a noodle dish came with mushrooms too, so we told the waitress about it and that it can be life threatening to a person with allergies. So they went and made a fried rice dish specifically to have no mushroom in it. Sadly, the fried rice dish came with mushrooms, so we told the waitress and said this is unacceptable as we've mentioned in the phone about it and even mentioned a few times before the dishes were served. They took the fried rice back and finally came back with no mushrooms in it. We were very disappointed as the staff don't seem to understand how serious an allergic reaction can be and was even rude and argued with us about it. It wasn't a pleasant experience dining here and we expected professionalism from the staff for a restaurant with good reviews. Just don't go to this place if you have any dietary requirements or food allergies as they don't take it seriously.
