This is not our first time staying in Redang Reef Resort but I have to say it is the worst experience we have this time.||||Paying RM400 for a full Board 3D/2N, I know I can't expect a Full star service and facilities. I can also accept issues like aircond leaking, toilet stuck, electricity power trapped off, etc.... and usually the resort person in-charge will arrange to get it fix or repair and we can still continue to enjoy our holiday with hot water shower and aircond room at night.||||However, I cannot accept that Mr Steven, the Person In-charge said to my friend : your group have a lot of problems (你们的Group真的很多问题)。||||We booked altogether 7 rooms. First day, the power trapped and causing 3 rooms no electricity supply. They managed to repair for one room after trying for about an hour but another two rooms they are unable to get the aircond up. Fortunately, after dinner, we managed to transfer to the other rooms and we have a peace of mind on first night. (At first, Mr Steven told us that the resort is full house and won't be able arrange other rooms for us)||||Day two morning, the same block, electricity power trapped again. We found out from the Technician that it has been happening even before we check-in. Which mean the problem already exists before we arrived. So Mr Steven, you should apologise to us for giving our group those problematic rooms and wasted our times waiting for the repairing. In fact, you were telling that we are making the rooms dirty and not allow to enter another room.||||In fact, many guests have checked out in the morning. So today there are lesser people staying in the resort. We expected a better service, unfortunately it was another way round. I supposed it was the unpleasant incident with Mr Steven in the morning and he was asking the staff to give us a SPECIAL TREATMENT.||||The resort is supplying Hot and Cold water for the whole day, but we couldn't find any cups there. When we asked for cup, a staff said wait for Tea Time. We were not informed that we need to bring our own drinking bottle or cup when we do the booking.||||On the hand, the resort is selling beer and we are allowed to bring our own alcohol beverages. We are all Malaysian, we are used to our Malaysia Culture and respect other races. If the resort want to make certain area Alcohol free, you may put a sign like "Non-Smoking", or let us know nicely which area we can sit down to drink our beers. We don't expect to get chase off by your staff as if we are illegal immigrants and cannot enter the dining area just because we are holding our beers.||||We also don't expect staff to serve us food with HER black face. We rather she put on her mask if she has forgotten how to smile.||||Moreover, we were not really having buffet. We need to queue up and let the staff to put the dishes on a plate for us. If this is the SOP due to Covid-19 Pandemic, I would respect the roles but please let me decide if I want to select the dish and how much I wanted. And, please train the staff who serve foods, don't put the fruits on top of the hot dishes like Fried Chicken. (In fact, after that I've checked the SOP, buffet is allowed for all hotels and resorts in May).||||Luckily, staff from snorkeling center and dive shop are nice people and very good in entertaining us too.||||So, Owner of Redang Reef, I hope you will consider to re-interview your Person In-charge and provide some customer service training for the serving staff.||||Rooms:1/5||||Food Taste : 3/5||||Food Selection : 3/5||||Service : 2/5 (there are still some good and friendly staff)||||Cleanliness: 3/5||||Facilities: 1/5 (All mobile reception only 2 bar, WiFi very slow, and certain hour no Internet access, shower water very...

Read moreAffordable resort to stay in, for 2 pax we managed to get Matta Fair promo package, total cost (includes tax) RM1,037 for 3 days 2 nights, included full board meals (breakfast, lunch, teatime & dinner) + speed boat transfer + 3 times snorkelling trips.
Food: Makanan sangat sedap! We never go hungry here, staff will help to serve the food but fret not, you're allowed to refill if not enough. I'm just amazed that for our last day breakfast, they serve roti canai + koay teow goreng + sausage + dim sum + roti telur in one plate, like?? You can refer my photo. Other meals were yummy too
Timing: first day check in we arrived at the resort around 10AM-ish and yes, we do have to wait for the room check-in, but already being there, there's plenty to do before getting into the room. My brother's kids were there as well but while waiting, we just went for a quick explore at the beach nearby and came back just in time for check-in. It was honestly not troublesome at all to wait. We managed to get the room before 12pm. Meal times and snorkelling boat trips were punctual as well.
Snorkelling trip: Having been to Redang before, I personally feel it is alright if you don't join the snorkelling trip sebab pergi snorkelling at the beach in front of the resort is already suffice. Me & husband went for one trip to the Marine Park but felt the waves there are too strong. Throughout the stay we decided to just walk along Long Beach towards the end and snorkel at the beach instead, there's a lot of fishes and we saw adult sharks too. Also, the resort have a shark feeding session at 5pm, do go if you have the chance as it is a great experience. The staff also bring us to feed a Moray eel near the boat dock. The staff took our GoPro and helped to record a video closer to the sharks and eel.
Service: Staffs there were very helpful and friendly to me. I am actually pregnant and some of them enquire with me if there's any food I don't feel like eating, they are able to help me out. Another one also check in with me if I'm ok with the boat rides and during the shark feeding, one of the staff was very attentive with me and ensure that other guests were not swimming too close (to avoid them kicking my body)
I'll definitely book the resort again for next coming years :) Also you can get resort quotation from @beefunvacay at Instagram/Tiktok, booked my trip from there and they are friendly and...
