FOX Hotel Glenmarie Shah Alam — Hotel in Shah Alam

I've never checked out of a room faster. We were too uncomfortable with the room. We didn't feel safe at all. The staff just seemed intimidating, it was all men, including cleaning staff with intense stares.

The pictures posted are a lie, it does not look that nice in person. Particularly the pictures of the dinning room facilities are completely fake, the sitting areas pictured do not exist at this location. The bathroom smelled like cigarettes and it's in a dirty part of town.

Not too mention the check in process...you have to check yourself in with a QR code the desk can't check you in for you. So unprofessional. I don't work there I shouldn't have to do any of the work...

We couldn't even stay they night, we just felt dirty and unsafe.

We asked for a refund because we didn't stay any nights and we were told we could not get any refund. Which I understand but is still disappointing. We felt it was worth it to lose all our money because it felt that bad to stay there.

EDIT: Upon further reading in the reviews I suspect many many many of them to be fake reviews. Read them for yourself. You will notice so many of them posted by a trip.com member, with very similar wording within several 'different' reviews. unsurprisingly the vast majority of them give it a 4.5 or higher. Many of them claim that the hotel is in a great location. No one in their right mind would say the hotel is in a great location.

This company is clearly sketchy, for 20 USD a night more you can stay at a much nicer hotel, in the area. Don't waste your time...

Situated near the main road but you will easily missed it. Location is at small medium industrial area/ business park/ small warehouses I am not sure as most of them closed on Saturday, the day I came. The big building stand tall among apartments/ condominiums and still under renovation it seems. You need to park at level 1 and proceed to level 8 where the lobby at via lift. It easy to register, the staff are friendly and approachable you can sense their sincerity. My room at level 16 is spacious and clean with good view. They provide kettle, iron, safebox, kiblat direction and tv. The tv is functioning way better then most hotels I visited. The breakfast starts at 6am till 10am on weekdays & till 11am on weekends provides simple nasi lemak in pack, bihun goreng with vege & sausages & telur mata kerbau, bread spreads, porridge sets, fruits and hot & cold drinks suitable for light eater. You need to inform the front desk for your in & out whereabout for its parking validation. It is RM5 charge per entry with validation. Without it is RM24 per-entry according to a staff. I went for my daughter's friend night wedding event nearby required in-out quite frequently so I feel more safe...

This hotel is more suitable for travelers or those doing business. And less suitable and friendly for families.

New hotel and maybe shared hotel building with apartments. And a bit confused by the management system. Need to park at Level 1 and check in at Level 8. No free parking, need to pay RM 5.00 each time before leaving the hotel. There is no trolley to carry a lot of luggage for families.

The size of the room is not too wide, the furniture looks simple and minimalist. The room is very clean and the atmosphere looks cheerful. The bathroom is very spacious, just a little smelly. No mineral drinks are provided and you have to take water from the water machine on the way to the room using a jug provided by the hotel.

As for breakfast, there are not many choices of food available, less interesting. Whereas the cafe space is very small and no baby seats are available. Very disappointed for this hotel's breakfast and cafe.

I am only satisfied for the price offered for the accommodation, the condition of the room and the service of the staff either at the reception or during breakfast because they are efficient...
