Fancy Mee 爱面子 - HQ 總行 — Restaurant in Shah Alam

This row of eateries is legendary. For a good reason. Crouching tiger hidden dragon kinda good 😁 was craving for pan mee. So in we went. Was greeted with a warm welcome. Ordered the chicken chop pan mee set, jasmine tea and cincau. Ordered extra mee .. just in case. 😂

Chicken chop pan mee - ordered 2 variants with extra mee. Each variant comes in a tiny bowl and also tiny a plate of dry chili. Black pepper - yums! Curry - Boleh la.. my mee was slightly over cooked. Chili can refill .. I stopped at 2 plates of chili. It packed a punch 🥊 It’s like eating a westernized pan mee. Kinda tasted like spaghetti 😂

Jasmine tea - cooling and nice. Would’ve liked it better if it’s less sweet though.

Cincau - nice and refreshing.

Place is with AC. Parking .. well if you come during lunch hour it can be tough. Service was warm and jiffy. I was actually told to enjoy my meal 3 times and I was asked how was my meal. Of course I told her my honest opinion for them to improve on. All in all a good experience.

Will return to try...

Restaurant lighting is too dim and stuffy for a pleasurable dining experience. Toilet is smelly and dirty as well.

On the food, I've tried the black pepper chicken chop pan mee and everything seems ordinary. The black pepper sauce seemed a bit too thick and heavy flavoured while the pan mee feels soggy to match with the funny combo. Anyway, neither is it awful for this combination nor is it impressive to recommend. The Fancy coffee although it's unique, but it tasted more like a 3 in 1 instant coffee which worried me if it's what I had presumed, as I had requested for less sweet and it's being served as very sweet.

Price wise, this is what this restaurant is all about, it's fairly reasonable with the above combinations for only RM14. It's definitely worth while in view of such affordable pricing which ensures it's long...

It is a very horrific experience on this shop. I have ordered takeaways and dine in many times before but today is the worst. When I order in today, the food was soggy and the chicken only skin fried with little flesh. I understand economy is bad but don't have to treat customers bad with poor quality food. I waited for the owner for 5 mins but the owner did not shown up so I left but he threaten me that he will take responsible action against me for trying to eat for free and go out. Does this picture shown that I have eaten the chicken?? I only eat the tip of the chicken which has no meat. I don't want the dish to be made second time as I am afraid they might spit on the food as we all know this is COVID19 season. Pls look at this photo and be the judge of it.
