I tried this restaurant because Meng Kee was disappointing. But, to my surprise, this restaurant serves dog food rather than human food. Here’s how I explain it:
The chicken is uncooked and raw. There is blood in the meat. It’s also wet and disgusting, making it unchewable.
The chicken had no flavour, as if I were eating wet raw flesh straight from the fridge.
Char Siew was bland; it has zero fragrance of char siew.
The juice from the chicken can be compared to brown corn starch; it has no flavour.
The rice is exactly like bland homecooked rice. Zero ginger, zero sesame oil, zero pandan.
The chrysanthemum is disappointing; it is 90% ice, 9% water and 1% chrysanthemum. Then they put it inside a plastic bag with tiny holes, and as I carried it to my car, it spilled out little by little until all that was left was ice.
As previously stated, this restaurant has no regard for humans. The questions becomes, Will they consume their own food? And have they simply misunderstood the different needs between humans...

Restaurant is clean, simple, and there were not too many people during the weekend. Food came fast after order, and everyone received the food at nearly the same time. The quality of the food is okay, on par with other chicken rice places I have been. The mung bean sprouts or taugeh is not too bad, and quite decent. The soup is surprisingly quite tasty, and worth the second helping if you so desire. The chilli is standard fare. One thing to note, chilli and soup is refillable for free, although you have to self-service for second helpings.
Price wasn't too bad and quite reasonable, in terms of price to portion size. However, I have had larger servings of rice in other places although the quantity of chicken is the same as other joints. You may need to order a second portion of rice, small if you're slightly hungry and big if you're...
Read moreBusiness is located at a focal point of a light industrial area so breakfast and lunch time, it would be highly pack. Parking is a real headache at that time as there's plenty of non civic minded people around.
Now the place itself is really to my liking, being clean, simple and staffed with well mannered foreigners alongside the owners.
Food ordered was quick to arrive and quality was nothing less that what i would expect at any chiken rice shop. The great thing about it was i get to top up my chilli and soup as much as i wanted. Chilli with my chicken rice is like inseparable. The soup, now this is something i hope would never change. Not the fact it being free, but the taste. Even if i have to pay for it, i would. I guess they have to provide it free as a few doors up, the competitors are doing so.
Whatever, this is my view based on my visit. Have your say to give a fair assessment for others to find a good...
