If you want to have some problems with your room, then you can think about it.
We were spending there 7 nights. We changed the room twice. Room (D2) mold and sticky smell, we spent there 1 night, barely be able to sleep. It was on the ground floor, no other free rooms at the evening when we noticed the problems. room (D4). "Second floor" room. No mold, but someone has smoked in the room for while. Ventilating didnt help, AC all the time on, not helping at all. If you dont smoke by yourself you will definitely not want spent time there, I got headich and sleep 2 hours at night. After that night we got the third room. 3.th room: clean air, but other problems. AC leaks water on the floor next to our stuff, maintanance fixed it in hour or two. AC keeps a lot of noice even it was minimun fan and night mode. Also our mattress was turned upside down. Noticed that at the second night in this room when the springs was pointing directly your arm and I removed the sheets and take a look. Overall these were little problems with this room when you have clean air to breathe and be alble to sleep.
We know this is not a 5.star hotel but keep wonderin how this place have got all these other good reviews. Pool was ok, no space for every hotel quest. Staff was ok and probably know the problems. Prisca was taking our concerns seriously and all the best for her!
You will need a car, only few restaurants close, others +2km away! (Or use taxi) Better locations are example trou aux beach or grand baie where is much more services.
There are also starting some larger construction site next to this property, directly there where the balconys are pointing.
Hopefully somebody will read this review and find another place to stay. Allthough, there might be good rooms also but I would not take a risk to...
Read moreWe spent 3 nights at this hotel with my wife and two children. We had 2 rooms, one with garden view and the other with ocean view. The latter was much better and it was worthwhile the markup in the price, especially during the evening the view was great watching the sunset. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. They were clean, however in the room that our kids were staying there was an annoying smell and we informed the reception about it but eventually the issue remained. The hotel is located right on the coast, but there is no beach right in front, you have to walk just a couple of minutes to get to the Mont Choisy beach. We tried that beach once but we didn't like it a lot, so the next days we went to the Trou aux Biche beach, which is amazing and just 3 minutes away by car. We tried the breakfast that is offered for 9 € pp and it was ok but probably short for the price, so the next days we prepared our own breakfast instead. The kitchenette in the rooms is handy for short meals but not for proper cooking. The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. All in all a pleasant stay. I would recommend it for couples, picking the ocean view rooms. For families not so much since you have to rent 2 rooms and the...
Read moreWe found this to be a perfect self catering option within easy walking distance to Mont Choisy beach and Trou aux Biches. There's a lovely sea-facing pool with comfy sun beds. We found the staff to be friendly and the premises are well maintained. There's a bus stop opposite but we recommend car hire if you want to explore the island and uncover its hidden gems, or stock up on food at the nearby supermarket, Chez Popo. Taxis are a rip-off, and beware of beach vendors selling excursions as we were almost scammed along with other tourists! The 'resort' offers reasonably priced excursions, and the breakfast is continental (breads, jams, yoghurt, fruit, orange juice, tea, coffee), delivered to your room that can be eaten on your private patio. Our room (b1) was quite peaceful, except over weekends, when next door came to life! But they stopped the activity at a decent time. All in all this is a good option for those who want to relax, get some peace and have the choice of eating in after an active day, or dining out at the sister hotel (free hotel shuttle there), at Mistik next door, or at other restaurants a...
