Hotel Loreto Palmar — Hotel in Baja California Sur

We stayed here for one night before returning from our trip in Mulege. I reserved a total of 4 rooms. It was a Sunday on 9/21. We were hoping to be able to get to know the town a little but unfortunately since it was a Sunday and still late summer, low season, most of the restaurants, bars, and businesses were closed. Loreto is a small town so most of these hotels are close to the city center which was one of the reasons I picked this one. The other was because it had a pool and unfortunately this was almost a serious mistake for me. The floor adjacent to the pool is super slick when wet. Unfortunately for me I found out when I exited the pool and took a few steps to get to my scandals, slipped and hit the back of my head on the concrete floor. They did have a slippery when wet sign but I had no idea it would be this slick since I wasn't running or rushing to get out. Fortunately for me we had our own ice in a ice chest since they had none available at the hotel, which I used to place on my head to ease the swelling from the impact. I hope the owners of the hotel do address this issue since it's a very easy fix to replace the flooring with something more slip resistant. The service we received from the team at Hotel Loreto Palmar was the best service in all of Loreto! Daniela was very kind, helpful and thoughtful. She even decorated our room for a birthday celebration. The location of the hotel is completely ideal. The pool is on the smaller side but very nice and relaxing. From the moment Dani greeted us at the front desk to saying goodbye at checkout we had a wonderful experience. The super-friendly staff, clean & comfortable room with great linens, and cozy courtyard and pool made a great weekend getaway in Loreto.
