Made it here mid morning from La Paz and stopped for breakfast. The food and coffee weren’t bad, the service is what made the experience less than appetizing. I live in La Paz where the lack of customer service is the norm but here they definitely won. I had to ask for coffee 3 separate times, I had to ask for the check 2 separate times, thankfully only had to ask for a to go box once, and when I asked for salsa they brought the Mexican Lindo habanero bottle from Oxxo. Mind you, communication the entire time was in Spanish so a language barrier is not to blame.

My wife and I caught Dorado, sea bass, and yellow tail and vacuum sealed it the same day. We then took our fish to different restaurants over a 3 week period. We decided to eat at Loreto Islas since it had air conditioning, was close to our hotel, and had good reviews. After eating at multiple restaurants with our fish we would say their best was Veracruz. The sides were good. The service was timely and the interior was nicely laid out with themed movie pictures. Nice view from our table of the Malacon.

The restaurant has great food and ocean views. Excellent clams probably their flagship dish..BUT BEWARE!! They may try to cheat you on the bill. They shorted four of us by, $100-150 pesos each. The poor waitress was shaking like a leaf as it was the man behind the counter who made the bill. They returned $300 pesos back and they still owed us $200 but we were disgusted and felt very sorry our waitress who was made to do the dirty work. So we walked out.

The first time my wife and me went to this place, 6 years ago, we had the intention yo have lunch there, but the waiter was to rude, so we only drank the soda he bring and decide to leave the place. This time we returned this weekend because some friends wanted to go there, and it was worse, the waiter was rude plus with a bad attitude, taking the orders wrong, being rude, and at the end when wey playing the tap he didn't want to give us any changue, assuming he earned a tip, and at the end he didn't bring it (the changue).
