Tourist Trap 🪤. Avoid this place trash 🗑 molcajetes, 40$$ dollars for a molcajete that supposedly serves 3 people more for like 1 hungry person plus they bring you rice and beans for only one person. Horrible service once a big group of Asian tourists showed up they completely forgot about us. I ordered tacos 🌮 for a homeless lady and her daughter, they took over an hour to bring her tacos she even left and came back. The Horchata is trash by the way powder flavored with hella condensed milk 🥛 added. Save your money 💵 and go elsewhere, you will find way better service anywhere else. My wife ordered a 7 mares soup 🍲 and they brought her a plate with 2 shrimp 🦐,4 shrimp heads, and one caracol 🐌. She sent the plate rite back asking where is the 🦀 crab and the rest of the ingredients they said we are all out but we can add more after they had already skimped and shorted out her plate. Of course we said no thanks since the soup looked sad and unappetizing 🤮. Never again my father...
Read moreWent last night. Google said they had “great cocktails” so we embarked to la tradition for dinner. The service was prompt and polite. The cocktail selection was not particularly impressive but a peña colada sounded better than a margarita so we had one each. The cocktails were not fresh, didn’t seem to contain any pineapple, did not taste like rum and was comprised mostly of ice. The food was not particularly better. The mactojetes were highly recommended so 440 pesos later we had a mixed bowl of steak, what I assume was and shrimp. We did our best with it but aside from the steak we did not have a good time. To summarize, Positive things: -Service -Steak -Guacamole
Negative things: -Drinks -The rest of the food -The atmosphere -Menu art -700 pesos for the experience
Perhaps a margarita or cervesa and the quesadilla would be been the way to go, unfortunately I don’t think we...
Read moreWe walked into Tijuana for the day and wanted an authentic lunch. A guy working here spoke great English, so in a moment of not being able to decide where to eat, English seemed like a healpful tie-breaker. We ordered the charola taco tray to share between 3 adults and 2 kids, and it was a very generous size and we were all full. The chicken was the best chicken we've ever had anywhere!! A few years ago we ate across the street at El Patio Tijuanense, and we loved how they made the guacamole in front of you and the plate of food came out sizzling hot - neither of which happened here, so it felt like less of a unique experience. I also didn't appreciate that the waiter said, "I'll get some guac for you guys!" as if he was doing us a generous favor, but then it showed up on...
