We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Imperial Las Perlas over the Dia de Muertos holidays 2022. We had booked the "Habitación Superior", but the first night they put us in a "Habitación Estándar". When I showed them the printout of our reservation, they apologized profusely and moved us to the correct room the next day. The first room, 504, did have a feint mildew smell, but everything was clean. It would have been good enough if that had been what we paid for. The second room, 103, was very nice. It is one of four "deluxe" rooms facing onto the beach, each with its own private whirlpool. These rooms have a great view of the sunrise over the Caribbean. The bathroom has a spacious shower that can easily accommodate two! The furniture has seen better days, and one of the drawers was broken. But overall it was a nice room. Wifi worked in both rooms. We opted for the inclusive breakfast, but having never stayed at an all inclusive hotel before, we were surprised to learn we would have to wear a bracelet during the entire stay in order to get breakfast. The food was OK. But it was fun trying some mexican food that I would normally not associate with breakfast. The staff was great and encouraged our attempts at speaking Spanish. A few of them did speak English. Since we did not have the full inclusive package, we did pay for a few drinks at the bar. The restaurant and bar overlook the beach, so you can watch the tourists lining up for their excursions at the marina. There is a marina here, so the beach available to hotel guests is rather small. The closest restaurants are about a kilometer away, so we wound up walking, taking a cab, or taking the bus to other places for lunch and dinner. The buses run very frequently and cost 12 pesos. The drivers make change and are very helpful. I gave this hotel three stars because it is not a fancy place. It is a nice place. It is a good deal for the money. And we enjoyed being surrounded by Spanish speaking guests, and seeing the Dia de Muertos altars the hotel set up in the restaurant and in the lobby.

If you want to go to Cancun, be somewhere that is design and put together for Mexican tourism feel part of the Mexican resort culture, be surrounded by the wonderfulness of its people and experience a little bit more of the culture you may enjoy the Imperial. do not come here if you’re expecting a four or five star American Cancun resort experience. You don’t go to McDonald’s and pay a value menu price expecting to get the best ribeye steak you ever had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was a great new experience. The location is perfect. If you enjoy getting out and exploring the area around you, you can jump on a bus for 12 pesos and it’ll take you just about anywhere you want to go in Cancun. You’re within 15 min walking distance of the ferry that will take you over to Isla Mujeres . You’re also within walking distance of Las Perlas Mall and youre 200 yards from the public beach. If you’re interested in taking catamaran party tours, snorkeling, or diving the marina that all the other hotels come to is right on your own little marina style beach. The buffets are more of a snack buffet than what you would expect ( nothing fancy at all) Everything here is on a small scale. If you dont speak Spanish just know this is a very much Spanish speaking hotel, you may be the only one speaking english so it can be abit challenging but thats what makes it adventurous sometimes.

Hi,|I wish that I didn’t need to write this letter but this hotel has transformed our vacation in a nightmare.||We paid for an all inclusive hotel 3 stars in front of the beach and got totally deceived. In our 5 days stay in this hotel not only the low standard |but also the employees treatment to us make that we don’t even want to leave the room and worst we have 3 days left. I will explain in point form our experience.||• The beach. It’s NOT a beach. It’s a boat harbor for a turist agency . Swim and enjoy the beach it’s inexistente and if you insist to take a bath in this little plot of water its dangerous because all the motor oil from the boats. So the dream to enjoy the beach and enjoy with our daughter in the beach it’s got totally destroyed. We need to run around Cancun in this hot weather to find other beaches, this is a big streets factor from who only really want to come and relax and recovery the energy.||• The food. Besides that the variety is minimal, the quality is extremely bad, too much oil and old food. You can see that they recycle old food from several days and serve us again. The must funny is that they have a menu for the buffe, and everyday it’s has a teme but the chef’s don’t make it. I remember the Italian day, the only Italian food they have was a overcooked pasta in some cream, we could even look at that. I’m diabetic and I only drink sugar free coca-cola, but I can feel afterwards that sometimes they give me normal coca-cola. And the juice don’t even taste fruits only chemicals. ||• The room. The standard is low, the furniture are halv broken, no warm water in the shower and the air conditioner sounds like broken car. In the morning and afternoon lot of tourists walk in front of our window because of the turist boats in the beach.||• The pool security. One time I told my 4 years daughter to take a shower at the shower by the pool, the security came and fight with her turned the shower of and said that she only was allowed to wash her feets after the beach. When I told him that he was wrong he stand in front of the shower with spreader legs and begin to clean his sunglasses with so much arrogance and aggressiveness that I took my child and run.||• The employees at the restaurant. We buy a turist adventure package who pick us up at the hotel at 7:00, at the same time that the breakfast buffet opened. I decided to go to the restaurant 5 minutes before and see if I could bring with me some food they don’t let us in and after they even run after us taking away our sandwiches from our hands. The feeling is that they are not flexible and don’t let us eat. ||• The tourist packet. We decided to pay the package half in cash and halv with the card. The women who saled the adventure took more 34$ American and when we complained she said that she was given us another adventure wish was cheaper. When we was at the turist bus in our way to the adventure they told us that the adventure that the women saled to us was free. So we got deceived. In our way to see the hotel are also responsible that the agencies they offer are trustworthy. ||• The bugs. Their is a lot of cockroaches at the night.||• The internet, you need to enter|the password all the time and sometimes it even has network.||We really feel that we have been deceived because is not was it’s says at the page the reality is so extremely opposite we came for vacation and not to live...

Avoid. ||Pictures on the hotel app and Loveholidays website are NOT a true representation of the hotel. ||The dining area pictured is now Cancun Sailing check in. ||We are not fussy eaters but the food is abysmal with whatever is left over from 1 meal being served for the next. Sausage soup being a perfect example||There is a shop down the road that sells fabulous made to order bagels, toasties and baguettes. Thank God. ||Despite being all inclusive we couldn't even get a coffee unless it was breakfast time or late dinner as they don't serve it.||Breakfast was the same every day and if I never see scrambled egg again it will be too soon. I was literally gagging on it by day 9. ||||We were upgraded to a "suite" on arrival, it was spacious, mainly because of a lack of anything in it & was only functional as there were beds, a toilet & a shower. No kettle or fridge or safe available so any water we bought from the shop down the road was warm by morning. ||The tiny bit of beach in front of the hotel was filthy, every night we watched the cats poo in it and also witnessed a few of the extremely drunk people that exited the boats from Cancun Sailing vomiting in it and covering it up. The 2 sunbeds at the front being where drunk people that couldn't walk properly were dumped to sober up.||Breakfast, sunbathing and dinner were all interrupted by hundreds, (approx 700) people walking past twice every single day to go on the boat trips. ||You could not go in the sea even to paddle as it was full of dead sea grass which stunk and was only cleaned up twice in the 10 days we were there. ||There was also what looked like sewerage floating in the water.||||Accurate descriptions and pictures should be given, NOT what is pictured from how something possibly used to look like, or could look like if an effort was made.||||This hotel should be less than 1 star and should be held accountable for false advertising.||||The staff were friendly and they did work hard, however on the last few days one of them decided to start ignoring my partner who was then left worried as to what he'd done to upset him. ||||The cocktails were nice, however even though we hardly drink there was no danger of getting drunk anyway as there was hardly any alcohol in them.||||The beds were made daily. Unfortunately with threadbare and tatty covers. The cleaners did do a good job though. ||||You will be jumped on by the tour operators in reception, we did 2 full days of tours with them and weren't disappointed at all. ||We were however offered a discount if we visited another hotel to see if we wanted to upgrade or if we came back next year we could book it at a reduced cost..... SCAM ALERT! it is just to get you to part with over 100k which gets knocked down to 2.5k for a room in the hotel. Can't believe we fell for it but hey ho, lesson learned.||||We purposefully didn't want to book a glitzy hotel in the busy hotel district of Cancun, but we still payed over £1800.00 each with Loveholidays. ||||We will not be going back. Ever. ||||||||Sent from...

Bad location, on one of the worst beaches next to marine with oil leaking from the boats you’re not able to swim in it so I had to take Uber to main beach anyway |2. The worst all inclusive I’ve ever had. Only 2 meals to choose from same sort of meats every day on breakfast dinner and supper. Extra thing was fresh pancakes make at the morning. In total there was maybe 9 trays with food and that’s it. Tacos and rolls in 2 trays every day, 2-3 types of meat which most of them contained mostly bones.. some 2 trays of chopped vegges like tomatoes and cucumber.. without any sauces or anything just chopped.. and another tray with lettuce .. wtf.. Trays are not heated so if you come in at the end of dinning slot time food was cold if you had a chance to get any as they don’t rush with refilling. There is no coffee machine or juice machine so you need to ask about everything at the bar and you get rubbish coffee make in like French press for whole restaurant, it’s standing on the bar in kettle god knows how long and tastes like the cheapest instant coffee you can get. The soft non alcoholic drinks are dissolved 1:10 with water so you don’t even feel if you drink sprite or coke because you feel mainly flavoured water. I took rum with coke on first night and almost spill it on the table straight away. There is no drinks manu or anything like that. Staff is really slow with responding for your needs and sometimes we were waiting about 15min for a drinks to be brought up to the table. If you really need budget holiday and this hotel so at least see if there is option room only as we were ordering takeaways every night anyway.|3. Hotel mostly for natives as we were the only European people. Hardly anyone speaks English. Huge noise and arguments at night and no one had control above it. Reporting to reception at 1am at night and still hasn’t been resolved immediately. Joke. |4. Summary if you’re really desperate for budget holiday and you won’t spend much time in the hotel then it’s okay but if you do like we stucked in room for 3 nights because of weather .. then...
