Litoral Cancún — Restaurant in Cancún

We’ve been in Cancun a number of times and have eaten at a number of different restaurants and even stayed in some of the nicer all inclusive hotels. This restaurant, by far, offers the best food, service, and atmosphere we’ve had. We were truly impressed by all of it. We stayed in the Renaissance Hotel that is attached to the restaurant and received a 20% discount, which made it even better. Now that we discovered the restaurant, we will definitely return and recommend others do as well. We ended up ordering a mix of starters that included tacos, lovely guacamole, heirloom tomato salad, and the tortilla soup. The food was all delicious and we thought about ordering more, but we were so full. It looks like the main dishes were going to be even better. The tortilla soup was the best we’ve ever had. And the presentation and style of the restaurant is so thoughtful. They definitely put together a fantastic mix of food and experience there. Thumbs up...

Simplemente extraordinario. Conozco el trabajo del Chef R. Muñoz Zurita desde hace tiempo, pero nunca había tenido la oportunidad de visitar uno de sus restaurantes, por lo que ya llegué al lugar con una expectativa alta. Aun así, quedé sumamente sorprendido y feliz con nuestra visita. de la entrada al postre, todo excelente. Pedimos un guacamole con chicharrón y empandas de camarón como entradas, y todo muy bien, pero para el plato fuerte realmente se lucieron, pedimos un pescado a la talla para compartir y no solo es uno de los mejores, si no es que el mejor pescado que he comido, lleno de sabor, pero cocinado a la perfección, suave y jugozo, sino que además, los acompañamientos del pescado fueron sublimes. Unos frijoles muy sabrosos, un arroz que me voló la cabeza, con frutos secos, nuez de la india y piña, que la verdad si lo hubiera visto en el menú no creo que lo hubiera pedido, pero al venir como acompañante lo probé y wow, realmente exquisito. Tortillas hechas a mano, recién pasadas por el comal, muchas salsas ricas (quizá podrían haber picado un poco más) y un aguacate en su punto que de tan bonito parecia de mentira, un plato fuerte digno de un chef de esta altura.

Para el postre pedimos dos tamales, uno de fresa y uno de chocolate, también absolutamente deliciosos y bien presentados. La coctelería también estuvo muy bien, pedimos cocteles con y sin alcohol y todo fue excelente. Por si faltara algo, el servicio fue perfecto y el lugar es muy bonito. Definitivamente uno de los mejores restaurantes que tiene Cancún, donde existen muchos lugares que prometen mucho como los del grupo Anderson, pero que cuando vas te das cuenta que le meten más al show y la publicidad que a una propuesta culinaria seria. Esto no es para nada así, esto es para quien de verdad disfruta de comer bien y de una cocina de 5 estrellas.

Amazing experience overall. Started off with them taking us through the myths that fed into the theme of the restaurant. After seated, the service was excellent and they stopped by to mention the background and history for the renowned chef. We ordered the tortilla soup and fish tacos and apparently the tortilla soup is one of their signature dishes that comes with a specific presentation / dinnerware. The tacos were also amazing. We experienced all of this while being outside looking over the bay at the hotel. Definitely look forward to our next...
