Hotel Casa Madero — Hotel in Chiapas

The main reason because I stayed in this hotel was the excellent ubication. The hotel is just a few steps away to the main cathedral and plaza, and behind it there is a street with a lot of bars and restaurants, to be honest is clean, cheap and it has a good location but in my next trip I would prefer look for another option. |In the nights is possible have rest but the sound from the street is annoying, I had enough luck to receive a room which was in the bottom of the building. I don't have any complain with how clean it was, probably the best point for them. |I went with my family and because the confidence we have the issue of the bathroom was not SO uncomfortable. Room is adequate, sheets thin, blankets worn. It's clean. Not enough light, one lightbulb middle of ceiling. Reading in bed difficult. There is a nightclub across the street that rocks the hotel. If onr has an interior room, one can close the doors to the patio area facing the street and it reduced the noise noticeably. On the positive side, the music stops at around midnight and the remainder of the night is quiet. There is a restaurant downstairs that plays music all day but not too loud. We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The only good thing about this place is 3 of its staff members. When you walk in it looks great! We learned after checking that the wifi does not work in the rooms. Our room (7) had an odor. They brought us spray but said that was the only room available. I later discovered mold in the bathroom which was causing the smell.

The next day we stored our bags, went on an excursion booked by the hotel, and was moved to a visually pleasing room with no odor. After showers & getting comfortable for bed we saw fleas on our bags. I do not know if the fleas were in the storage room or that room...
