Read moreI am giving this place a one star rating because of dishonest staff. The waiter gave us our bill and he circled the amount that it came out to be. We double checked the bill and realized that there was a 200 pesos added. I inquired about it and after he beat around the bush, he finally admitted it was for tip. I felt disgusted at that point.
Never have I come across a restaurant that adds its own tip. Tip is not mandatory and is a US custom (we were going to tip anyway). This silly waiter just assumed we were going to pay the bill and leave without checking it twice. My friends and I ended up paying the forced tip as they did not want to make a scene.
Also throughout the entire time we were checking the bill, he kept hovering non stop. It made me uncomfortable. After I gave him the money, he never returned to give me the change and assumed the rest was tip. I guess that is mexico for you. Have fun with your measly $10.
And yes, like another reviewer mentioned, the mandatory...
Read moreThe restaurant itself is very nice and clean and the bar is very nice also. Mediocre service. Waiters and bartenders always on their phone. The food is BLAND. This is the first place in Mexico that I've had tacos when there was no onions or cilantro, just tortillas and meat. And the meat was cold. No spicy salsa, either. I had to ask for limes and serranos. They brought two whole raw serranos and I had to cut them up myself and add lime. My friend ordered the mechaca and it was cold also. So obviously they don't cook to order but just preheat old meat before they serve. My other friend ordered a hamburger (I don't know why you would order a burger in Mexico) and it was terrible as well. The bun was not toasted and the crinkle fries were obviously from a frozen bag. Oh and its...
