I am surprised to see only good reviews for this Hotel. To be fair, the Hotel is in a lovely area of Puerto Vallarta close to the Malecon and not far from the beach and appears to be clean and tidy.||||We arrived to find that we were given a very small room that appeared more like a storage closet than a hotel room. It didn't have any windows at all, had 1 lone light dangling from the ceiling and was very dark. It had the ambience of a cave. All for close to $90 Cdn a night. We were quite horrified. ||||We asked for a different room, and were offered a 2nd room that was slightly bigger and it had 1 window out into the hallway, but nothing outside. Both rooms did have air conditioning.||||I went back and looked at the Web Site to see if I had made an error in booking and overlooked information or photos, but I did not see rooms that resembled the ones that we were offered. The rooms on the Web site looked open and airy, and bright with natural light. I am sure the rooms with windows would have been fine, but they were occupied.||||We did not stay here. We certainly did not come to Puerto Vallarta to stay in a dark cave like closet. We were able to find a hotel right away, with an ocean view and for only $6. per night more.||||If we had been coming down at a time when there were no rooms available in Puerto Vallarta it would have been extremely disappointing. I am very surprised that no one has made mention of this in the reviews.||||I think this hotel will do itself a disservice by offering rooms like this at all, let alone at the prices they charge. Although the area was lovely, the rooms were terrible. We would never...
Read moreIf you are considering Casa del Parque for your stay at Puerto Vallarta - think twice! I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on a business trip and regretted every night there. To begin with, upon our arrival after the flight, the receptionist told they did not accept credit cards for payment and suggested that we take a walk to an ATM before checking-in. The room was not clean, there were ants in the bathroom and NO hot water (you have to wait for at least 20 mins to enjoy slightly warm shower). Wi-Fi is NOT working in the rooms, I couldn’t join the network. Some of the hotel rooms have NO windows at all, which makes them super dark and depressing. Last but not least the mirror in my room had a huge crack. Having said that, the price is quite high for such low quality of service. Definitely NOT recommended...
Read moreLovely little hotel in a great location. Scrupulously clean! Service is excellent, rooms are much better than I expected. They are were very clear with me about the room I booked. I wanted a window or balcony but as I booked only 3 days before I arrived they were all sold out. When i messaged them they were upfront in telling me they could provide what I booked but not what I was requesting. My room did not have a real exterior window, which the Trip advisor description didn’t say but as it deliberately omitted any reference to window, I suspected. It was actually okay, it had a window into the courtyard which was bright and let lots of light in. Great hotel! Amazing value...
