Casa Castillo in Polanco, Mexico City, is a fantastic choice for travelers seeking a clean, affordable, and welcoming place to stay. From the moment you arrive, the friendly and attentive staff ensure you feel right at home, always available to help with recommendations or any questions you may have. The cleanliness of Casa Castillo is truly commendable. The rooms and common areas are spotless, showcasing the care and effort put into maintaining the property. It’s worth noting that the hotel is mindful of Mexico City’s water situation—a reality that travelers should respect. To conserve resources, towels and bed covers aren’t changed daily for stays shorter than a week, which is entirely reasonable and aligns with sustainable practices. When booking, be sure to read the descriptions of each room. Rooms on the first floor may experience some street noise, which is to be expected in a vibrant area like Polanco, but it’s manageable and doesn’t detract from the overall experience. Casa Castillo offers an unbeatable combination of affordability and comfort in one of Mexico City’s most desirable neighborhoods. Its proximity to fantastic dining, cultural landmarks, and attractions makes it an excellent base for exploring the city. Highly recommended for budget-conscious travelers looking for a great stay in Polanco!

This is a beautiful boutique hotel in the Polanco area. Tye outside looks like a colonial house but the inside will blow your mind. The rooms are very nice and we'll decorated, the bathrooms are spacious. My room has a small kitchen with cofee maker and even a sleeper sofa. The rooms don't have AC but keep in mind that in Mexico city the temperature drops around 59 F at night and the mornings are chill too. The service, the staff and everyone are very helpful if you are looking for places to eat or drink. This hotel is walking distance from public parks and Embassies.

The location of the hotel is excellent, front desk is very helpful, and a very good value for money. Liked - The location is great! Walkable to most landmarks and attractions. Very close to pharmacies and convenience stores! The front desk is very helpful but can barely speak English - Be sure to have the translator app ready! My special requests were also accommodated (free room cleaning since I stayed for 5 days and extended check out for an hour more) Disliked · The price of room 31 is the same as room 25 :(

The premises are beautiful, unfortunately staff were very rude. When I made my reservation I paid for a queen size bed, yet, they hosted me on a room with a full size bed. I talked to Jose Eduardo about this. He works reception. He said he wasn’t able to do anything about it. Then I asked to talk to the manager, Jose Eduardo said the manager would give me a call back but she never did.

Another thing to notice is that they have a bell that guests have to ring in order to get inside the premises. There is no other way in. One night around 2 am a guest was ringing the bell for a long time and staff never opened the door for her. She ended waking us up by knocking on the guests windows asking us to let her inside the premises.

So if you are a light sleeper like me and don’t want anyone to disturb your sleep, don’t book at this place.

It’s a shame that this beautiful place doesn’t have good...
