Casa Regia — Restaurant in Mexico City

Casa Regia is a super “random” place in Polanco. I looked up the place on google and decided to go, and was surprised that the presentation of the tables as well as the vibe seemed rather high class and posh. There was a pianist in the corner playing music, and the tables were nicely decorated with a bottle of wine. I decided to stay and realized after some minutes that everyone around me is having a good time and drinking a lot. I ordered a beer and some tacos. The tacos tasted very good, and the Victoria Beer is always good. Staff was friendly and helped me making my taco decision. The tacos ended up being much more expensive than I anticipated (still not sure why), but they were still good and the vibe of the place was also nice. The longer I was sitting in this restaurant the more curious I got what the hell was going on on the other tables. The place is just filled with randomly mixed people, which makes it an awesome place to eat and just observe people. Overall, definitely a good place for some food in Polanco, especially for Tacos. Take care with the prices though, they might be higher...

Pues lamentablemente no nos transportó a Monterrey ni a Nuevo León, por lo que lo regio nos lo quedaron a deber. Le faltaban cortes y otros platillos que tenían en el menú pero hasta que los pedías te lo enteraban. Nuestros alimentos estuvieron bien a secas, un guacamole sin chiste, unos tacos tipo Villamelón con chorizo fluorescente y carnita muy equis, la carne que pedimos sabía más a la plancha que lo que nos hubiera gustado. La música aburrida era de flautitas armoniosas como de spa. Sin clientes para ser domingo a las 3 pm, los postres muy pobres, el mesero al que le decían capitán fue muy atento y al mero principio todo pintaba muy bien cuando otro capitán "le sacó" una moneda de chocolate de la oreja a mi niña pero de ahí cayó todo. El restaurante definitivamente no esta preparado para recibir grupos grandes. La atención fue pésima, asignaron solo 2 meseros para una mesa de aprox 35 personas (única mesa ocupada en el restaurante). La relación precio - calidad deja mucho que desear, la comida no es tan buena para los precios que manejan, no había postres suficientes, insisto que la atención fue muy mala y realmente es molesto tener que recordar a cada rato a los meseros que algo hacía falta, tardaban muchísimo con cosas tan simples como un salero o limones. Y para terminar el ambiente es súper aburrido con musica que apenas se escucha...

Es una lástima que solo hagan las cosas bien cuando atienden a...
