It's not taken care of at all. The staff justifies this by saying that "this is a hostel" but l've stayed in several cheap hostels around the world and this goes beyond dirty and neglected. Dormitory of 6 has NO WINDOWS, so it smells awful, no ventilation at all. Bathroom is awful. It looks like staff lives there for prolonged periods of time or they move around the several franchises around the area.
Staff decided to host a dinner for the whole group that involved heavy frying (hamburgers) in the small kitchen beside the dormitory. It smelled all night and I had to find another place for my last night (I lost the money for that night since it was non-refundable) There were several guests extremely stablished in there, it looked like they lived there and were not travelers. Looked like there are several long stays, and it was awful to learn that some of them were staff themselves. Staff need to be educated on what to stay on a cheap hostels can be and should be. We are not asking for fancy facilities and we travelers can tolerate discomfort, but it's different to tolerate anti-hygienic and extremely...
Read moreMy Review Worst hostel experience l've experienced in all my travelling. This mainly goes for the night receptionist who has cancelled my booking without notifying me at 11pm. When asked for any availability of rooms he simply said no before going back to watching his phone. Another guest from the hostel somehow provided the actual service of speaking with this person, for him to realise they had 4 beds available?!?? Slept in a closet space and was awakened by a generator 3 times in the night. Location is great though, won’t give an unfair review. Bathrooms are installed with glass doors that give no privacy and the common areas have no rules for when to be silent, so had to sleep through a party going on at night. Reception during the day were kind, but the night service was so horrific that I have...
Read moreWORKER STOLE MY MONEY FROM MY BAG. 460$ USD. I asked to leave my bags for the day while i visit Teotihuacan. Left at 6am and came back and the money was gone. It was behind the counter and when i came back the bags were moved further into the closet space and seemed like someone had tampered with it. I am a poor college student and I’m extremely stressed about paying for my housing back home.
Room ( private next to balcony) was extremely loud. Terrible that people can see into your room and the curtains are broken. Not to mention people stay out there all night and talk til 2am, walls are thin from other rooms, and street is next to...
