I loved this! There's a lot of colorful and fun stuff to see! The prices are not so good but you can ask for a discount if you pay in cash. It's good to point out that there's two entries: one for the artisan market per se and the other for the "food court" of the market. If you get inside the food side, get to the right where it's a sign written "Cafe". There you can find a great meal, tastier than most restaurants around, with soup, main dish, juice and dessert for 75 pesos. I had a tomato soup with pasta and tacos rellenos with cheese and potato with a watermelon juice. Super recommend! 👍

This is a great place in the Reforma area to pick up souvenirs, t-shirts, jewelry and all manner of odd Mexican stuff..lots of fridge magnets. This maze of small retailers is easy to get lost in, but that is ok as you will see different things each time you pass the same stall. The owners are friendly and not to pushy. Which is a nice change to other markets I have been in. So if you are in the Reforma area or close by I would highly recommend dropping in for a bit of fun retail therapy 🇲🇽🇲🇽

Great prices at Gloria and Juan’s little shop , they are in the very back , they will give you discounts and have a wide variety of products I have been buying and bringing friend to them for the last 5 years! Ask at the entrance so they can guide you to their shop. If you do decide to look around , my suggestion is to always compare prices between shops and buy once you are comfortable with their prices . At the entrance you will be check with temperature , toilets cost $5 bring change

Treasure trove , A forgotten indoor market - FABULOUS!! Much more old school than other big markets , and very quiet in comparison. Better prices, also inside and undercover, it is really nice and calm .As well as the classic beautiful modern crafts and souvenirs, fabrics and ephemera, this market has some vendors who have vintage bottom shelf older stock so you can find some brilliant treasure here by rummaging on the bottom and back of the shelves - I found an incredible brass mirror , wooden tiger heads , coconut masks, refined jewellery, a tin nativity set , ceramics for under £2, T-shirts around £4-£7. Very friendly stall holders who want you to haggle and make deals if you buy more than one thing.. Cash is king of course if you want the best prices. The market is also in a logical system where it spirals slowly upwards so you can keep walking without getting lost or walking back on yourself. This was my favourite of the markets in cdmx and the one where I bought the best stuff ! The others are great too but this one seems more forgotten and quiet and has better deals - The shabbiness its part of its charm and the workers are so lovely...

Got scammed by a jeweler named Luis here. He tried to pass off as very friendly and attentive but tried to convince me a silver bracelet was worth 2000 MXN. I did buy it because I felt pressured to but upon realizing my mistake I came back not even an hour later to ask if he did returns which he hastily said no to, and after i told him my parents are jewelers and they told me the bracelet was not worth that much money he got defensive and said I "made him feel bad" but still reluctantly returned SOME of my money. I understand business is business and people need to make an income somehow but he overpriced a product about 4x what it was really worth. Will not make the mistake of trying to support desperate vendors again. Please be weary of how much you spend and who you spend...

A delightful mercado with lots of silver stores and the usual folk art and crafts from all over Mexico. A little smaller, more compact. Maybe it is because I speak a little Spanish. Maybe it is because I was having fun wearing my Lucha Libre mask through the market. But the shop keepers were so friendly and social. This is a hard life. Too many shops with the same things to sell. Limited tourism. Limited number of people who are actually shopping for these kinds of handicrafts.

One of the high points for me was discovering the wonderful fondas to dine for lunch. Comida corridas in the price range of $4 to $5 including soup, salad, sopa seca, entree, all you can eat tortilas, beverage and dessert. Clean, friendly. Just delightful. Check out my photos of my...
