Great breakfast spot. Opens at 8 AM, no wait. I had Huevos a la Mexicana, and it was wonderful. My wife had the fruit and yogurt, photo included. Very nice combination of fresh fruit. It is a beautiful spot to eat in, surrounded by lovely plants, and shaded by a thatched roof, cooled by an overhead fan. Oh, and they have great Wifi. And of interest to English speakers, the waiter we had speaks pretty good English. It just makes communication much easier. Strongly recommend.

Rincón de los Almendros, Restaurant & Grill is a wonderful place with unique atmosphere. Grilled Octopus with Garlic is a dish that everyone MUST try. This is delicious! Shrimp in coconut was also very tasty. Natural pineapple and papaya juices are beyond praise. Portions of food are large. Staff is very friendly and patient with non-Spanish speakers. I RECOMMEND!!!

A little farther from the other restaurants, but totally worth the walk. And I actually appreciated the walk back after my meal. The place is well kept, the food is awesome and the service is excellent. Service in both English and Spanish. I would recommend that eat here over the majority of the other places on this strip.

March 2025 Update - We have been to Los Almendros several times this year. The food (burgers, fish, shrimps, chicken) have all been excellent. We love the dining area as it's spacious and airy. Alex (Alejandra) is a lovely server. We'll see you in December when we return to Puerto.

February 2024 - We have been to Los Almendros three times in the last few weeks. The staff are friendly, the food is good, and the location is nice... and for us, very convenient. We hope to get back one more time before we come to Puerto...
