Guacamundo - Lifestyle Hostel — Hotel in Playa del Carmen

mobile(SS note 5-Gold) was stolen from locker with padlock while I was taking a shower. Police was called and hotel reception opened the video(which installed outside the room) and did nothing. The red locker is very weak and could be opened easily and close like it never be opened!! Even the suitcase storage is also easily accessible. You just lift up your bed then hand in to get anything because there is a big gap between. Bunk has no individual light and plug. You will have to leave your phone/camera charged outside. Nothing is safe at all here!! Toilet are dirty full of hair and it is just a curtain to close when you shower. I did not try BF due I left the same day I checked in because I couldn't stay and sleep like nothing happened in the same place with robber. Booking.com was contacted and I wrote review. It was sent but not showing there. The only good point is location. I can't say it is cheap because room fee plus mobile is quite costly...

Such a cheap price wasn't expecting much, but when I arrived I found I had a double bed to myself in the dorm, everyone was super helpful and is right in the middle of town 50metres from the beach and ADO terminal, the first night I brought a girl back to my dorm (just slept). The next day mike calmly told me that is have to pay for two people if I Did I that again and let me off the hook :D I heard there has been a huge change around in the management, hence some old bad reviews, but I ended up staying a week due to the good vibes and friendly people,l. In that time they had electrician and handymen in fixing up the place every day.. I believe this hostel is heading in the right dirrection.. has a kitchen you can use and they have a nice little breakfast everyday.. thank's guys for the awesome stay....

Booked on hostelworld... went to check in and staff stated we owed more money then what was advertised on hostelworld. We showed them our confirmation stating we only owed $300 pesos but they stated that hostelworld was wrong and we needed to pay more. Staff stated "the owner is a young guy who is never here and always drunk". They stated that this happened yesterday as well... I tried to explain it will keep happening because it's advertised on hostelworld. We didn't want to pay the extra money after false advertising and didn't want to support young, drunk, never around owner. Better hostels for...
